Shadow

  • Darkness, shadow in the shape of very vague creatures, shadow ghosts, the character's shadow
  • Black flames, ink, liquid shadow, swirling shadow
  • Grasping shadow hands, fading shadows

NOTE: Shadow element must only be shown in dark colors or black as it is made of shadow! It can have have small accents in lighter colors.

Magical Mask

Magical Mask (★Rare)

Category: Mask
Species: Painted Satyr

🌈 This trait can be applied to newly created designs with a Rare Trait Potion.

✅ If you would like to add mask features corresponding to your satyr's mask material you can do so at the salon with 1 appearance change.


Trait: Rare mask materials. These masks are created from materials with magical properties. 

✅ When creating a rare mask you can choose up to two materials of rare or lower rarity. Extra material cannot be added to existing designs with rare masks. These are called "split masks" and their purpose is to allow multiple free mask traits. 
✅ Masks can be any color and have markings
✅ Choosing a mask requires you fill 1 aspect spot with the mask's associated aspect, you will still have 1 open aspect slot. Choosing two materials grants you one aspect from each material, which you are required to pick. You are given these aspects for free!
✅ Facial hair and thick fluffy eyebrows are okay, but should clearly be separate from the mask!
✅ Their bones often match their mask material, but will be much sturdier and are naturally reinforced through magic

❌ For a rare mask to be approved the design must have at least one free mask trait from the mask's list.

Mask material cannot be changed once chosen.

Non listed materials are categorized by whatever it most closely resembles!


 

  • Meteor Mask

    ★ Free Traits:
    You must choose at least one of these features.

    ➕ Comet -- The edges of the mask have long curved spines that flow back over the head. They should not be much bigger than shown.

    ➕ Singed
    -- Fire, shadow, and arcane only! The edges of the mask, small areas of patches tips of the the tail and horns, hair, ears, wings and/or the flora can have small areas that flicker like coals or lightly smoke/have a tiny flame effect. Effect should be kept very minimal (10% coverage max) as to not be mistaken for glowing markings/glowing flora or elemental parts.

    ★ About
    Material salvaged from a meteorite crashed near a satyr settlement. It can be made out of all sorts of things. Those with masks such as this will find themselves longing for adventure and are drawn back towards the stars.  
 

 

  • Prism Mask

    Prism Mask

    ★ Required Aspect:

     
    ★ Free Traits:
    You must choose at least one of these features.

    ➕ Low-poly Mask-- The mask takes on a strange, low-poly look similar to a perfectly cut stone.

    ➕ Translucency -- The horns patches, tail patches, and/or flora can be see-through. The stripes still remain in tact. This also allows for tips of the fur/tail/hair to be see through. Effect should be kept very minimal (10% coverage max) as to not be mistaken for elemental parts.

    ★ About
    Enchanted prisms are often used in illusion spells due to their ability to bend light in odd ways making them good catalysts for tricky spells. Masks made from such a material are few and far between but it's always obvious when there's a prism satyr around. They're seen as secretive types who take time to open up.
 

 

  • Gemstone Mask

    Gemstone

    You must choose at least one of these features.

    ➕ Facet -- A crystal mask resembling a more rough gemstone that can shine in many facet colors. It can have very small crystal growths at the edges like shown.

    ➕ Crystal Veins -- Allows small veins of crystal over the body, horns, tail, and/or patches.

    ➕ Crystal Flora -- Allows the flora to be made of crystal.

Rare masks can have up to two materials, these are called "split masks". This opens the door to many combinations when creating new designs! You are able to have features from both mask materials, and even combine them in some cases. A good example would be creating crystalwood, which wood with crystal veins running through it. Keep in mind that the combinations allowed by a split mask are never more than the sum of their parts. Entirely new and unlisted effects aren't created from this!

Using a split mask requires that you pick one aspect from each material, you do not need any additional items/traits to apply these aspects as they are included for free alongside the mask materials you chose!

🌈 Can be applied using Cracked Mask item.

Trait: Allows the mask to be cracked.

✅ You can have as many cracks on the mask as you'd like!
✅ Cracks do not have to be symmetrical 
✅ Cracks can have inlays matching mask material on gold, ice, and gemstone masks.

❌ Trait does not allow missing chunks, only thin cracks.
❌ Glowing cracks require glowing markings.
❌ Cracks leaking energy will require a blight mask.

Rare Branch Horns

Rare Branch Horns (★Rare)

Category: Horns
Species: Painted Satyr

🌈 Can be applied to a painted satyr with a Rare Trait Potion

Trait: Rare satyr horns.
Size: Rare horns can be up to roughly 2x head height

✅ Can have up to 3 sets of horns. Horn count for multiple sets counts all branches on 1 side of the head.
✅ Can have 11+ Branches
✅ Can be asymmetrical
✅ Can have soft, rounded branches or square branches
✅ Can have broken, snapped off, cropped, or missing horns. Broken horns can grow flora!

❌ Cannot grow from areas outside the top/upper sides of the head.
❌ Only 3 maximum horns can be placed on each side of the head.

⚡ Briarthorn

⚡ Briarthorn (★Rare)

Species: Painted Satyr

🌈 This trait can be applied to a Painted satyr with a Rare Trait potion or Rosethorn Water.


Trait: Adds sharp thorns to the patches of the satyr
Size: See examples. Thorns placed on tail and thorn patches should be small. Spikes placed on body patches can be up to x1 head height.

✅ Can be asymmetrical in style/placement. Both large and small spikes can be used at the same time on patches
✅ Spike color does not have to match patch color
✅ Spikes can optionally be striped
✅ Thorns placed on the body patches can be tiny spikes or large spikes, They can resemble rose thorns or general straight spikes
✅ Up to 7 large spikes can be placed on body patches, otherwise use small thorns! Body patches include ANY patches that are not on the horns or tail. (Including rare face patches!) The only exception is that tongue patches or any patch placed on the forehead can only have thiny thorns.

❌ This trait does not add more branches! It only modifies the shape of branches. Each thorn on the tail or horns would be considered a branch.
❌ Spikes cannot be largely curved, and must remain straight in nature.
❌ Horn and tail spikes must clearly resemble thorns. This trait does not just simply give branches pointed tips, but rather makes them thorn-like in appearance.
❌ Cannot be larger than shown
❌ Cannot be stacked with itself, smaller thorns cannot be placed on body spikes
❌ Spikes should be spaced out and not clumped into one mass to where it no longer resembles the trait or completely obscures the patches beneath

Rare Patches

Rare Patches (★Rare)

Species: Painted Satyr

🌈 This trait can be applied with a Rare Trait Potion.


Trait: Rare satyr patches. 
Size: 90% total design coverage (including tail).

✅ MUST be on at least the horns, hooves, and at least half the tail.
✅ Can be asymmetrical
✅ Can be placed anywhere on the body or mask
✅ Can take on any complex or partially broken up shape as long as it is a "stripe" in some way
✅ Can have small flecks and simple patterns
✅ Patches do not all have to be the same color
✅  Colors can be random, splotchy, and uneven
✅  Stripes can be any type of stripe as long as it reads as a stripe! You can mix 'n match alternate stripe patterns.

🔸 Patches are 1 rarity total. If you have rare patches you have access to all common and uncommon patch features!

❌ Cannot entirely cover the mask or be placed on the hair, flora, feathers, wings, eyes
❌ Stripes cannot be entirely removed. Regardless of stripe shape they must still form some complete "rings" around the patches in some way.

⚡ Mushroom Flora

Trait: Adds mushrooms that naturally grow on the painted satyr. 4pPfr
Size: Satyr's flora can cover up to 50% of the design, this is shared between: leaves, flowers, mushrooms, fruit, and sea flora. The maximum size of an individual plant is 1x head height.

✅ Can grow from the mask, body, hair, tail, horns, and other patch areas
✅ Can be any color and any shape, real or fantasy.

❌ Cannot grow from or entirely cover the eyes or mouth by default
❌ This trait does not replace fur or hair and should be clearly separate fungus growing on the character
❌ All types of mushroom count as only a single trait. You do not need to apply this trait multiple times.

Rare Mushroom Flora

⚡ Fruit Flora (★Rare)

Species: Painted Satyr

🌈 Can be applied using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied using a Fruity Frozen Yogurt item.

Trait: Adds fruits that naturally grow on the painted satyr.
Size: Satyr's flora can cover up to 50% of the design, this is shared between: leaves, flowers, mushrooms, fruit, and sea flora. The maximum size of an individual plant should not be much larger than the example, about 50% head height.

✅ Can grow from the body, hair, tail, horns, and patch areas
✅ Can be any color and any shape, real or fantasy as long as it looks like a fruit. Pinecones and vegetables are also okay.
✅ Can be multiple different fruit types, and can combine with/grow from other flora types if the character also has those. (ex: growing on vines)

❌ Cannot grow from the eyes, mouth, inner ear, or mask.
❌ Does not create 'holes' in the character, only grows on the outside of the character
❌ This trait does not replace fur or hair and should be clearly separate plants growing on the character

Rare Fruit Flora

⚡ Flora Cloak (★Rare)

Category: Additional Traits
Species: Painted Satyr

🌈 Can be applied using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied using a Flora Cloak Treat.

Trait: Adds a small number of large leaves or mushroom webbing that naturally grow on the painted satyr.
Size: Minimum length is 25% body length, maximum is 1x body length from top of head to the ground.

✅ Can grow from the back, shoulders, hips, and on the back above the tail. You can choose all placements or just specific ones.
✅ Can be any color and any shape, real or fantasy as long as it resembles leaves or mushroom webbing. Different placements don't have to match.
✅ Can be layered, ex: 2-3 layers of large leaves.
✅ Flora can be lightly tattered around the edges

❌Cannot appear as bushes of leaves/multiple tiny layered leaves
Cannot grow from the tail/look like a tail and cannot grow from wings or look like wings
This trait does not replace fur or hair and should be clearly separate flora growing on the character

⚡ Sea Flora

Species: Painted Satyr

🌈 Can be applied using a Rare Trait Potion.

Trait: Adds coral, anemone, and other water life & water plants that naturally grow on the painted satyr.
Size: Satyr's flora can cover up to 50% of the design, this is shared between: leaves, flowers, mushrooms, fruit, and sea flora. The maximum size of an individual plant is 1x head height.

✅ Can grow from the mask, body, hair, tail, horns, and patch areas
✅ Can be any color and any shape, real or fantasy as long as it looks like aquatic "plants"
✅ Can be multiple different sea flora types, and can combine with/grow from other flora types if the character also has those.

❌ Cannot grow from the eyes, inner ear, or mouth. If placed on the mask it cannot totally cover the mouth or both eyes. If covering one eye it is plants growing over the eye, rather than growing from the eye.
❌ This trait does not replace fur or hair and should be clearly separate plants growing on the character

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

Trait: Allows the flora already on a satyr to be huge!
Size: Can be up to 2x head height individually. Cannot obscure more than 50% of the design


✅ Can apply to: leaf flora, flower flora, canopy flora, mushroom flora, water flora
✅ Can affect all of these flora on the design or just specific ones, multiple copies of the trait are not needed!
✅ Can be used to add hat-like flora like a mushroom cap

❌ Cannot replace other traits or make hair, fur or other features appear entirely made of flora, some part underneath must still show through
❌ Does not apply new flora types, only can modify flora already available to the satyr!
❌ Cannot apply to moss flora, vine flora, or flora cloak
❌ Should not resemble a vine

⚡Razor Talons

⚡Razor Talons (★Rare)

🌈 This is an ITEM ONLY [limited] trait and cannot be obtained with a Rare trait potion, grant, trait purchases, or MYO traits. Can only be applied to a browbird using the specific trait item.

Trait: Razor sharp armored claws that trail up the hand and/or foot.
Size: Must start at claws and cover at least half of one finger/toe. Always stops at the wrist or where the foot ends. Max coverage can cover the entire top side of the feet and hands.

✅ Can be asymmetrical and can be placed on hands, feet, or both!
✅ Can be affected by some modifying traits (ex: raptor talons for the feet, reflective accents, body thorns)
✅ Any additional shapes inended as part of this trait should still be connected to the claws
✅ Can be raised slightly and have different edge shapes

❌ Does not alter foot, hand, or claw anatomy - Doesn't make hands or claws larger than standard!
❌ Can't be segemented/plated, broken up, or cracked
❌ Only covers the claws and top of the hand or top of the foot, not the underside! Claws MUST be connected to the armor.

Trait: Adds a second pupil/iris to the eyes
Size: Only affects eyes


✅ Iris can be connected or separate
✅ Can be paired with any other eye traits and eye types as long as they have a pupil and/or iris.
✅ PUPIL and COLOR can be swapped between the two irises and both eyes as long as they are consistent with each other. This is considered the common "reversal" eye trait and does not need mismatched eyes. See below for examples!
✅ To have the bifold look differently in both eyes OR have it only affect 1 eye you may combine it with mismatched eyes.
✅ Can extend to any additional eyes on the body

Trait:  Adds a small gemstone or crystal embedded in the forehead and/or the chest
Size: Can be around the size of the character's eye on the forehead or x2 the size of the eye on the chest.

✅ Can be lightly affected by aspects the character has, such as having a fire aura or dripping liquid
✅ Can be any simple shape: round, oval, star, twinkle, moon, triangle, square, shell, heart, etc
✅ Can be reflective, shiny, faceted, flat, cracked, carved
✅ Can optionally glow and/or sparkle
✅ Can have a small bug or object contained within it like amber

❌ Should not resemble an extra horn or large body thorn/spike
❌ Should not resemble an eye or weapons

⚡ Horn Engraving

⚡ Horn Engraving (★Uncommon)

Category: Horns

Additional horn customization.
Adds intricate carvings to the horns. The exact look of the carvings is up to you.

🌈 Can be added with a Horn Engraving item specific to the species you are using it on. This item can be obtained via the Engraving Memories quest.
🌈 Can be added with an Uncommon Trait Potion

✅ Can be added to any horn type.
✅ Can be added alongside other additional horn traits.
✅ Can be applied to one horn or both.
✅ Can be asymmetrical in style and placement
✅ This trait does not replace other traits!

❌ Does not allow horns to have large holes carved out of them.
❌ Does not allow you to add rare markings to the horns without the corresponding traits.
❌ Carvings cannot glow without Glowing markings or Glowing Extras.
❌ Carvings cannot have inlays of materials like metal or gemstone without a corresponding trait that allows for it. Traits that can allow for inlays varies with the species.

⚡ Mismatched Horns

Trait: Allows the horns to be two different styles, or have one missing
Size: Only affects horns


✅ Can be applied to any horn type except hornless
✅ Hornless trait is not needed to remove a horn on one side
✅ Mismatched horns can be any horn style from the same or lower rarity. (Ex: if applied to rare horns you could do 1 rare horn, 1 uncommon horn)
✅ Allows the horns to be asymmetrical in placement as well

❌ Does not change base horn rarity! So if it's applied to common horns you may use 2 different common horn styles.

Uncommon Horns

Uncommon Horns (★Uncommon)

Category: Horns
Species: Browbird

Uncommon browbird horn types. 

You can change the horns of an existing design to an uncommon style if you have an Uncommon Trait Potion. You must go through the design change salon to do so!

✅ The maximum length cannot be longer than 1.5x (one and a half times) browbird's head height
✅ Can be as thick as the thickest horns shown in the examples below

🔸 This trait allows only one set of horns placed on the top, side, or back of the head.
🔸 Uncommon horns should not have more than 3 branches
🔸 Simple Common horns can be doubled, this will make them uncommon! 

When creating a new design with uncommon horns or adding uncommon horns to an existing design, you are also able to add the following common horn modifiers for free:
