Traits

❗ This trait is restricted to hiros/half-hiros subtype browirds only!

➕ This trait can only be added to the Hiros/Half hiros subtype.

✅ Existing Designs: When your character already has a rare crest, or a crest with rare effect you may add on additional rare effects (or effects of lower rarities) at the design change salon through the use of an Appearence Change ticket.
❌ Rare effects cannot be added onto an existing design otherwise. And item with this functionality is planned for a future update.

✅ MYO Designing: When designing a new character, adding a rare effect to a crest shape of a lower rarity makes the entire crest rare. You may use an Rare Trait Potion or purchased rare trait to make the crest rare.

Trait: The rare empyrean effect can have 3-6 wings anywhere on the crest.
Size: Wings should be no bigger than what is shown. However, there is no size limit to wings on mythic crests. 

✅  The wings themselves can be styled differently than what is shown. They can blend more with the crest or be more stylized.
✅  They can be attached to the crest or floating very close to it.
✅ They can be applied to any crest shape, not just the ones shown in examples.

Size: Only affects eyes

✅ Can be any shape not covered by another trait as long as the IRIS is a clear solid simple shape. Ex: moon, star, square, lightning bolt, cross, flower, etc!
✅ Pupil can be any shape and there can be multiple pupils as long as it's contained to the main iris shape.
✅ Visible pupil is optional!
✅ Can stack with other eye traits to create more combinations. Ex: mismatched eyes for entirely different styles/colors in both eyes!

❌ Cannot resemble: spiral/ringed patterns that encompass the entire eye, scribbles, bifold eyes (without the bifold trait), eyes with multiple separate irises, any text/runes/words without the runic eyes trait, eyes with no dicernable iris, or eyes filled with stars like starsight/starblind traits. Basically anything that's already covered under another trait isn't included!
❌ Cannot resemble non-eye textures, such as being made out of crystal or liquid blood.
❌ Cannot resemble multiple eyes
❌ The IRIS (part that contains everything else, not the sclera) must be a SOLID shape. Everything within it can be various other shapes, broken up shapes, etc! For example: the iris cannot be solidly split down the middle to make two separate irises, but the inner shapes and pupil can be!
❌ Both eyes must match by default!

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Rare Trait Potion (browbird or painted satyr)
• Bunny Parfait (browbird or painted satyr)

Trait:  Makes the character's ears super long!
Size: Up to 50% body height

✅ Can be applied asymmetrically, ex: one ear is long, the other is short
✅ Long ears can be any of the default ear styles (same for painted satyr) and do not have to be bunny/lop style
✅ Can also affect the ear fur to make it super long! Cannot be stacked on top of max length ears to double length.

✅ Can also be applied to hiros wing ears. These can also be up to 50% body height and still function as ears... But can flap like wings as well!

🌈 Can be applied using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied using a Crisp Talon Fish item.

Trait: Allows the browbird to have talon-like scales on their hands and/or feet
Size: Cannot go past the elbows on the arms, or past the ankles on the feet.

✅  Can be asymmetrical
✅  Can be applied to the feet, hands, or both. You do not need multiple copies of the trait.
✅ Often causes the claws to be sharper and more obvious

❌ Cannot be metallic, if the scales are shiny it should be kept to a minimum

🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr with a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr with a Constellation Cocoa.

Trait:  Adds constellation markings to a browbird or painted satyr.
Size: No coverage limit. Any size is fine as long as it still resembles the trait.

✅ Constellation markings can optionally glow. When applied to browbirds the glow must be similar to at least one crest color.
✅ 4-point stars, diamonds, and twinkle "✦" "✧" markings do NOT require this trait and are normal markings that can be included with constellations by default. However, you can optionally make those marking types glow with this trait!

❌ These markings cannot be placed on the eyes or crest.

🌈 Can be applied using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied using a Potion of Eyes.

Trait: Adds any type of eye marking to a browbird or painted satyr. 
Size:  Eye markings can cover up to 50% of the design. They can be placed anywhere on the body, face, tail, ect!

✅ This trait can optionally glow. Glow does not have to be consistent across the eye markings in terms of coverage and color. For browbirds the glow should be close to at least one color on the crest. Glow can only affect the eye markings.
✅  Can resemble spiral eyes, regular eyes, ect. As long as they clearly read as open eye markings.
✅ Can be combined with other traits, such as star pupil eye markings if you also have the star marking trait.

❌ The markings are not functioning eyes and do not blink or otherwise animate. they should clearly resemble markings.
❌ Cannot be placed on the eyes or crest
❌ This trait does not account for markings that resemble closed eyes or anything that could be considered a standard marking. If you're unsure if your idea will work or will require this trait please contact staff!

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Rare Trait Potion - browbird or painted satyr
• Sparkling Cider - browbird or painted satyr

Trait: Adds sparkles to the body, horns, wings, tail, satyr's flora, and/or insides.
Size: Sparkles are small and thin, cannot exceed the size of the character's eye. "Dot" sparkles should be TINY, like a piece of glowing glitter.

✅ Can optionally have a light glow around the sparkle, glow is required if using ONLY tiny dots!
✅ Standard common twinkle shaped markings can also be made to glow with this trait
✅ Sparkles be spread out or localized to a specific area
✅ Can float off of and around the character, should stay close to the body
✅ Can be any shape similar to the following styles, you can mix types!

❌ Cannot be applied to eyes
❌ Cannot be applied to crest, use common crest particles instead!
❌ Cannot be JUST tiny non-glowing dot markings, those are a free standard marking!
❌ Cannot be JUST regular twinkle markings, those are also a free standard marking!
❌ Cannot be large glowing dots/splotches, reflective/metallic markings, star shapes, use their respective trait potions instead!

🌈 Can be applied using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied using a Bottle of Moonlit Shine.

Trait:  Adds moon markings to the browbird or painted satyr.
Size: You can have any many moon markings as you want! Moons can be up to the size of the head. If placed on wings they can be 2x head height max.

✅ This trait specifically covers crescent moons. To place moon markings on a design requires this trait. RINGS and CIRCLES are standard markings do not require this trait - but can optionally GLOW if paired with this trait.
✅ The moons can optionally glow. If placed on a browbird the glow should be similar to at least one color on the crest.

🔸 NOTE: Some markings may not count as moon markings if they are too small/too large or partially covered/merged by other markings or heavily obscured. This trait is only for clean, clear moon markings.

❌ Must be similar to one of the marking types shown in the example at any orientation.

🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr using a Starcandy Soda.

Trait:  Adds star markings to a browbird or painted satyr. These markings can optionall glow.
Size: No coverage limit. Stars can be any side as long as they are discernable as a marking.

✅ Can be placed anywhere on the main body.
✅ This trait includes all markings that are clearly star-shaped. ★☆✶✷✸ Any 5-8 point stars.
✅ Stars can optionally glow, this effect does not always need to be present but if you choose to use glow please make sure it is on the submitted masterlist image. Not all stars on the design need to glow. The entirety of a star marking does not need to glow (it could be just a glowing outline of a star for example). When applied to a browbird the glow must match at least one color from the crest.
✅ 4-point stars, diamonds, and twinkle "✦" "✧" markings do NOT require this trait and are normal markings. However, you can optionally make those marking types glow with this trait!

❌ Cannot be applied to eyes or a browbird's crest.
❌ This trait does not replace other traits.
❌ This trait does not apply diamond (◆) or "twinkle" (✦) markings. Those markings do not require a trait.

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Rare Trait Potion - browbird or painted satyr

Trait: Markings resembling text, words, letters, numbers, or intricate enchanted symbols.
Size: Up to 25% body coverage spread out however you'd like

NOTE: If including text that is a real life language that is not english please provide a translation in the comments section of your submission! We reserve the right to reject any designs with text we deem offensive or not suitable for the website.

✅Can be any solid or gradient color
✅ Runes can optionally glow. Runes must stay visible even when not glowing.
✅ Runes can have accent circles, lines, and shapes that overlap and surround them. These lines can also optionally glow but only when next to a rune
✅Runes have 4 general styles, you may mix and overlap them as you'd like! You can design your own runes!

• Strings of fantasy symbols or real life text
• Intricate runes and lines grouped together
• Letters, numbers, or words
• Single large runes, can optionally be surrounded by a circle and smaller runes (multiple can be placed over the body)

❌ You do not need to use this trait for thin or intricate line markings on their own
❌ Symbols like "X" and "O" and other similar, simplistic shapes do not require this trait on their own, they are only considered runes when paired with other letters/letter-like shapes
❌ Moons, stars, etc will still need their respective traits to be incorporated into runes. Runes should still be present, even when using other shapes! Diamond-shaped marks are free and can be used to accent runes as you'd like.
❌ Cannot be clustered heavily into one spot to form multiple rings or circles of runes. 1-2 rings are OK, any more than that will be considered too cluttered!

🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr using a Bottle of Scale Brew.
➕ Can be applied to an Astrean browbird as a free trait.

 

Trait: Adds scales to the body of a browbird or painted satyr.

Size: Can cover up to 50% across the entire design. Check examples for scale sizing. If covering a large/thick tail in scales that counts towards the total coverage.

✅ Scales can ONLY be placed on: main body, tail, face, arms/legs, horns, and satyr patches
✅ Can be asymmetrical and mix different scale styles
✅ Scales should resemble fish scales or snake scales
✅ Scales can be slightly shiny, lightly iridecent, or flat colored
✅ Scales can be any color and have markings

❌ Cannot be placed on the eyes, a browbird's crest, or a satyr's mask. (with the exception of scaled patches).
❌ If applied to a painted satyr's patches they must still retain the stripe patterning, even if subtle.
❌ Cannot have a mettalic or gemstone texture/appearance unless stacked with a trait that allows for it
❌ Should not resemble large plates and be raised or heavily overlap with each other. See plate scales instead.
❌ Shouldn't resemble bird talons, use talonscale instead
❌ Cannot have large raised areas or spikes. Thorns can only be applied if stacked with a trait that allows for thorns.

➕ASTREAN  Scales

➕ Can be applied to an Astrean browbird as a free trait. This is a special astrean variant of the trait.

Trait: Adds scales to the body of an astrean browbird
Size: Can cover up to 75% across the entire design. Check examples for scale sizing. If covering a large/thick tail in scales that counts towards the total coverage.

✅ Scales can ONLY be placed on: main body, tail, face, arms/legs, horns, and any type of wings.
✅ Can be asymmetrical and mix different scale styles
✅ Scales should resemble fish scales or snake scales
✅ Scales can be slightly shiny, lightly iridecent, or flat colored
✅ Scales can be any color and have markings

❌ If placed on wings it cannot replace or mimic feathers.
❌ Cannot have a mettalic or gemstone texture/appearance unless stacked with a trait that allows for it
❌ Should not resemble large plates and be raised or heavily overlap with each other. See plate scales instead, which is also a free astrean trait.
❌ Shouldn't resemble bird talons, use talonscale instead
❌ Cannot have large raised areas or spikes. Thorns can only be applied if stacked with a trait that allows for thorns.

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

Trait: Makes the browbird's eyebrows super long and optionally elemental!
Size: Up to 2x head height in length, and up to x2 eye height in thickness

✅ Can make eyebrows huge and long without element, add elemental edges, be entirely elemental, or a combination! Elemental is optional as long as eyebrows are long.
✅ Can be asymmetrical
✅ Elemental effects should be based off an ASPECT the character has. You can combine multiple aspects!
✅ Must have one main flowing section but may have several smaller offbranching sections
✅ Small particles can float off the brows

❌ Cannot affect the eyes or come from the eyes, may only be AROUND the eyes as shown below.
❌ The elemental part must be clearly elemental and float off from the head with one main section. Cannot 'drip' liquid onto the face.
❌ Must clearly be the brows and cannot merge with the hair, crest, or other traits
❌ Must be clearly elemental based off at least 1 aspect, cannot be solid objects, animals, extra limbs, tentacles, weapons etc!
❌ Does not affect other traits added or attached to eyebrows, but DOES affect traits that replace eyebrows (like wing brows!)

Aspects with no element visual: will, time, luck, death

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Rare Trait Potion - browbird or painted satyr
• Aura Decanter- browbird or painted satyr

Trait: A magical or elemental aura seeps from the mouth and/or nose of the character
Size: Up to 2x head height in a radius surrounding the head. Should start to taper off once it leaves the FACE area. Thin wisps and particles can extend slightly past the max range.

NOTE: Does not need to be included in prompts! You choose when the trait is visible.

✅ Can be any solid or gradiant colors and can have light patterning
✅ Can optionally glow and can optionally allow the mouth to glow when active

✅ The breath has 1 core appearance that comes from the mouth and/or nose of the character. It must be something that can flow in the air and cannot appear as a solid object.

• EFFECT EXAMPLES: Smoke, clouds, fog, mist, flames, floating liquid

✅ Can have other minor effects accenting it, but cannot be entirely made of those particles.

• PARTICLE EXAMPLES: Sparkles, sparks, music notes, flowers, wisps, stars, constellations, leaves, simple eyes, simple runes/letters, tiny ghosts, snowflakes, simplified butterflies or flies
• This should reflect a physical trait or aspect of the character.
• These should not appear as solid objects, they are particles of magic
• They should only be small, and SIMPLE or VAGUE SHAPES only. Simple stylized eyes, glowing stars, a vague wispy hand, etc are okay, but not a detailed sword or plush doll or something skeletal.

✅ FOR BROWBIRDS ONLY: Can interact with leaking aura and aspect mastery.
✅ FOR PAINTED SATYR ONLY: Aura breath can seep from a cracked mask a tiny bit, and can interact with blight mask effects on the face only.
✅ Can also interact with or come from items, ex: a pipe the character smokes.
✅ If the character has scars on their mouth, it can seep from those a tiny bit

❌ MUST MATCH an aspect or design feature on the character. Ex: if they have fire aspect the aura breath shouldn't look like regular clear water (unless they also have water aspect), but floating liquid 'lava' would be okay! You can get creative with it, and some effects may overlap.
❌ Cannot cover more than 50% of the face. If a lot of the face is covered it must be traslucent where it overlaps the face to show the face underneath.Thin trails can still be solid over the face.
❌ Must clearly be emitted from the mouth and/or nose. Cannot appear to come from the eyes, neck, hair, ears, etc but can overlap those areas.
❌ Does not make the face, hair, or other traits elemental or see-through!
❌ All particles should be contained within the breath or stay very close to it
❌ Cannot appear as part of a browbird's crest or otherwise interact with traits not listed above

🌈 Can be applied using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied using a Bottle of Fin Juice.
➕ Can be applied to an Astrean browbird as a free trait.

Trait: Adds webbing between the toes or modifies the feet into a water bird shape.
Size: Only Affects the feet

✅ Can be asymmetrical
✅ Webbing can be slightly translucent
✅ Claws optional

❌ Cannot remove the back toe entirely

Trait: Adds a second set of wings to a hiros or half-hiros browbird's back, beneath the primary pair of wings.

Size: These wings can be up to the length of the primary pair of back wings.

✅  Application must be symmetrical in placement but can be asymmetrical in style/color/sizing, you may also have 1 side missing a wing.

❌ Does not stack with Hylos Blessing for extra wings
