A new day has dawned, and with it, a growing hunger. The people of Candletown, both residents and visitors, have survived the mysteries of the Inkwell largely unscathed. Save for a night of strange memories, nothing seems too different. Candleblight approaches on the horizon… and a bountiful feast awaits!

Stop by Candletown Plaza for a warm bowl of stew and a good time during the Candleblight festival! EVENT ENDS: DECEMBER 13th at 11:59 PM EST (site time)!

★ HOW DOES IT WORK?

• Step 1: Draw or write your entry like normal
• Step 2: Attach x1 crafting material to donate alongside your entry (ONLY 1)
• Step 3: Get rewards once approved! Congrats, you've contributed to the potluck!

• Each material donated grants POINTS according to its RARITY.
• Each material also has a SECRET flavor profile that contributes hidden flavor points
• Completing the prompt earns you x1 Potluck Pickings. This is a special loot box item that you can open at any point during or after the event!
  
  • Based on the FLAVORS of what's donated various items will be permanently ADDED to the Potluck Pickings random item drop pool. Flavor points and unlocked drops DO NOT get removed regardless of what material is donated.
  • When you open it will determine what drop pool you'll get a random item from! Wait until the event ends for a larger pool of possibilities!

Total points contributed per item:
Common [★] - 2 points
Uncommon [★★] - 4 Points
Rare [★★★] - 8 points
Mythic [★★★★] - 14 points

Special materials (coupon scrap & coin piece), and any items not under the "crafting material" category can't go in the stew...

The exact amounts of flavor contributed by each item are a mystery to those attending, but the cooks at have provided this vague guide marking all the possible outcomes to unlock.

★ When picking your material try to consider: appearance, name, and how you personally feel it would taste.

• Anything that looks good or would go well in a dish are likely savory or sweet
• Sparkly or enchanted objects usually have a magical aura,
• Things you wouldn't normally cook with or touched by the abyss are a strange choice for the potluck.
• Some items add multiple flavors! Regardless of what you donate, the cooks will make use of it!

Note: Point updates are not automatic! The status & drops are updated MANUALLY by staff over the course of the event!

★ Update to The Inkwell

• NEW: A second stargold option has been made available as a means to dump excess event currency! 1 becomes 2!
• UPDATED INKWELL CLOSING TIME: December 14th, a little while after the potluck ends. This will only be adjusted to ensure any last minute entries have about 24 hours after approval to buy items. Otherwise no further extensions will be made, so be sure to spend your inkdrops before then!

★ Default Trait Updates:

• All browbird default traits have been updated to better flesh out the species guides! Updates like this are planned for all main species.
• This info will be condensed & summarized on the main species page soon!

★ NEW:

• Kitbull Pocket has been added as an option to the wish needle! This gives your kitbull a fur hood or a pouch/hoodie pocket on their body. It also has a longbull variant!
• This was added as a player request, if you ever have trait suggestions feel free to let us know!

★ Other adjustments:

• Star and constellation markings now allow ✦ and ✧ markings to glow in addition to the trait's normal effects, rather than requiring mythic glowing markings. REMINDER: ✦✧ markings are still free to use as standard markings when not glowing!
• Eclipse eyes has had its info clarified.
• Long ears has had its description clarified.
• For design edits you may now move the placement any head/face addons for free rather than requiring a change ticket.
• Updated species HEIGHT CHART & measurement guide are now available! The pages they will be added to are still a work in progress but they're provided here for reference as well! NOTE FOR PROMPTS: We're not strict about size as long as it's not significantly larger/smaller than the limits!

• The winter update rotation is planned for mid December! Some new and returning recipes will be available, with a few being added into this year's winter shop! This includes a few items from the autumn events that weren't available for autumn crafting.
• This event is an attempt to try something different from our normal formula. We're also going to be trying out a few small new things for the upcoming winter season!
