🖋️THE INKWELL

A lone series of merchant stands that appear to be abandoned stretch out before you. Some of them appear to be selling small enchantments, talismans, and even little snacks. Others carry strange potions and mysterious objects. When you walk between the stalls, you feel the distinct sense that you're being watched, but turning to check behind you yields no results. You also know that if you take something, you must pay — in one way or another.

Fortunately, you're blessed enough to be in possession of some inkdrops: small droplets of the Abyssal Void that appear to be drawn towards each other. When they get large enough, they begin to look back at you. They've been appearing more and more recently, particularly in places with dark legends surrounding them or land where the ground is tainted with death. Whatever magnetizing force there is out there, it calls to the inkdrops. There's a hole in the ground — a well, of sorts — surrounded by splatterings of ink. The inkdrops seem to want to go in. Perhaps this is sufficient payment?
