This rock is slightly different, however, because it has the possibility to turn into a grumb. Sometimes, particularly old or important objects have a chance to gain sentience and a soul of their own. Other times, a magical construct can become alive — or close to it — with the aid of a skilled mage. A grumb is neither of those things, and yet it persists.
