There is nothing as universally awkward as a blind date, but some of the greatest relationships are spawned from such encounters. Whether it’s an introduction through a friend of a friend or a speed dating event, first dates come in all shapes and sizes! Most of them don’t lead to romance — most of them don’t even lead to a second date — but of the ones that do, you’ll always have a fun story to tell. Sometimes, someone you met on a blind date might turn out to be the perfect friend! Other times, it’s such an insufferable bore that you have to make up an excuse to escape death by boredom. Whatever it is, the time for singles to mingle is approaching, whether you like it or not!

Draw or write about your character going on a blind date.
✦ Do they make any special effort to change their appearance beforehand? Is there a signature look for dates that they’ve had to use one too many times? Maybe they’re excited, or maybe they’re nervous.
✦ Where are they meeting their date? Is it a cozy coffee shop? An expensive restaurant? Something active, like rock climbing or go karting? Who planned the date? Is it a meticulously prepared schedule, or is your character just going to see how it goes and go with the flow?
✦ What have they been told about their date in advance? Good reviews mostly, or is there an unspoken secret? Is your character going on the date because they really want to, or is it a favor to a friend? Do they even know it’s a date at all?
✦ Once they meet their date, what’s the dynamic like? Are they instantly smitten, or is it polite interest? Maybe they’ll end up with a friend for life, or maybe they’ll have to block that number immediately. Perhaps they even got stood up entirely!

Must be full color
Must show at least 25% of 1 characters
Does not require a background
✦ For written submissions:
Must be at least 300 words
Must clearly be about OR written from the perspective of the character

✦ Can be completed once per person!
✦ Apparel items that grant a bonus must clearly be worn. Trinkets do NOT have to be visible but can optionally be incorporated.
✦ You may use up to 1 companion, 1 adult mount, 1 apparel item, and 1 trinket on a single entry.
