The sun was beating its rays harshly on the dirt below as a crowd cheered in uproar. The coliseum was packed to the brim with spectators, eager to witness the well-renowned fights and bouts that took place in Harara Brouhaha. This year was especially interesting: King Heru had invited all visitors to a competition for a grand prize. Due to this, there were many more contestants than usual, eager to prove their worth to the king and earn his favor and their boon. The stadium was wide, large enough for many birds, satyrs and kitbulls alike to run around and fight with their full potential.
Everyone hushed instantly as soon as the doors allowing the participants into the arena opened. Excited, people peered over, trying to see who the challengers were. Two browbirds, one who seemed eager to show off, and the other, who seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but here. The two started walking towards each other, to shake hands and greet before the match began. The smaller browbird eyed their surroundings nervously, as if something were bound to attack them at any moment. The other simply flashed a grin in their direction.
Once the bell chimed, signaling the beginning of the fight, the crowd let loose in an uproar of cheers and noise and yelling. The smaller brow realized he had forgotten a weapon. Hastily looking around, he barely managed to pick one up before the other bird came charging. Defending himself the last minute, he took a step back. Just when he had thought he was safe however, the crowd let out an “OOOH!!” Little did the poor bird notice that a Petotross with a… kitbull?? On its back, were just behind them, ready to pounce and make the fighting scene all the more exciting.
