The group carries on...

Everyone is busy scavenging through the wreckage of the cellar looking for clues, when suddenly another noise interrupts your search.

That same sound of playful laughter echoes from a dark corner near the back of the room where no one has yet dared to venture closer, but upon hearing the noise Endehark, who had been admiring a particularly dusty journal, pushes their way again to the head of the expedition, leading everyone down the narrow and crowded space to a part of the room that comes to an abrupt end.

The walls are damp, there is a faint smell of mildew, and a scratching noise can be heard behind the cobblestone, as though something were trying to claw its way out..

The room seems to end here.. and yet the laughter can still be heard just beyond the walls..

Endehark ventures forward and presses their ear to the wall before offering you their camera to hold, and walking along the edge of the room.

"Could you point the light this way for me?"

They ask as they pace quietly along the border. The light turns just in time it seems, as there, on the ground ahead of Endehark, lay a small trail of burning footsteps that are winding further and further away from your group.

"There!"

You manage to snap a picture in the nick of time, as the footsteps begin to pick up pace and ultimately disappear entirely behind a large wardrobe that is nestled neatly away in the corner. The wood is very old, and the decorative embellishments of what would have once been a very intricately carved mahogany, have long since rotted away. Your group approaches steadily and you notice that between the cracks in the grain you can just barely make out a gentle breeze. There is wind coming from behind this wardrobe.

"Do you feel that?"

Gently, Endehark places a hand along either side of the wooden cabinets, and carefully begins to pull. A few of your group jump in and offer their assistance, and, with all their efforts combined, the wardrobe is smoothly pushed aside, revealing the source of the flowing breeze.

Another entrance. A path of stairs leading up and out of the cellar to who knows where. Endehark holds up a hand, and everyone falls silent. The scratching has ceased. The laughter is gone.

"This is it.. We go up."

And one by one, you each begin to climb the stairs up until you come across another door leading to the outside. Pushing it open, everyone emerges into the dusky night air, glancing around for any sign of paranormal activity. Someone in the group shouts and the party turns their attention towards the cause of alarm. The footsteps are back. This time trailing around behind the house, and as your group follows, you quickly realize that you are heading towards an area that is fenced off with rusted metal and that within, through the patches of overgrown grass, there are large, cold, grey stones jutting out from the ground in neat little rows.

You are heading towards a graveyard.
