Natalia's Chronicles Of Our Own

Sitting in the rune studies building’s common area, Natalia mindlessly scrolls on something on her phone. There’s not a whole lot to see from a distance: it looks like a lot of words on one page. Upon further examination though, one might realize that the prized student’s scrolling is not studying, as she might have you believe…

Alas, it’s her own writing for something completely unrelated to academics.

“Whatcha got there?” Flaune asks, setting their book down and tilting their head. 

Natalia raises her head, clearly startled by her new friend’s appearance. “Uh—” She clears her throat. “What?”

Flaune’s brows lower as a smile creeps onto their face. “Just wondering what you’re up to. Don’t act weird about it.”

“I’m not acting weird.”

Okay, yeah, something is definitely up.

Flaune is not normally this bold, but their growing comfort with Natalia allows for it. Quick as can be, they reach down and snatch the phone out of her hands. “Hmmm—”

“HEY, HEY, give it baaaack—”

“Then stop acting weird!” They hold it up over their head as Natalia wrestles them for it.

Eventually, it slips out of Flaune’s hand. Natalia shoots out a tiny sheet of ice to catch her phone and snatch it back.

Flaune squints. “Were you on Chronicles of Our Own?”

Natalia shoves them playfully (but not softly by any means), folding her arms over each other and looking away. “Ass.”

A smile stretches over Flaune’s face. “You have to tell me what you were reading.”

Natalia huffs. “I’ll have you know I was writing. The Revenant love interest in Dusk? They did him so dirty in the books. I had to take matters into my own hands.”

Flaune almost jumps up out of their seat. “You too?! I don’t get why everyone loves the ending!”

The chatter continues well past curfew.
