Day 1: Ink

When Weiss awoke he found himself in a strange city. Despite its otherworldly vibes he recognized it to be the City of Ink. His eyes widened during his dream like state, being completely enamored by the lustrous black liquid that flowed through the city as though it were blood through vessel. He walked forward, coming across a pristine fountain that the black ink leaked from. Unable to stave off his curiosity he reached down and touched the liquid. The ink stained his pure white feathers, leaving it them black with a bright glossy sheen. Weiss couldn't help but smile as it brought him a similar pleasant feeling to how being enveloped by the abyss was like. It was a warm blanket on a cold day to him. His looked around and noted that there seemed to be no one else within this pocket realm that he currently resided in. As a result he decided to fully step into the fountain, allowing his feathers to soak up the ink. As his body darkened he could feel the power of his own shadows begin to bubble within his chest. Both naturally were akin to the darkness itself and from his back, his shadows formed into dark, wispy wings. Oh how he loved this dark liquid. He tenderly recalled how Blanc was born from it as well... It further fed into his mind that he indeed was right about the abyss. Those who turned away from it simply weren't strong enough to realize its strength.

Day 2: Pumpkins

Atticus found himself being dragged down to the local pumpkin patch one autumn afternoon. Orion insisted that they pick one out for Hallows Eve. "This sounds silly. We are adults. Such activities are for children." Atticus described with his brows furrowed.

"Oh Cmon Atticus. Don't be like that. Besides, your sister told me that you guys never even had a chance to celebrate Hallows Eve before. Pumpkin carving is a staple! Everyone does it regardless of age or size" Orion said in his defense.

"Leave it to Violet to express such things... No doubt she is likely doing the same with Ven right now then..." Atticus said with a small hum as they passed through the fields filled with bright orange gourds. His eyes scanned the area, attempting to find one that might suffice for their carving date later on. He leaned down, brushing his hand against one of them to see it had a smooth, glossy orange outer shell. "What about this one?" Atticus asked.

"Ohh that one is a really good fine. Very fitting of having the staple title" Orion agreed with a gentle nod. "Im gunna go with this guy. It has a funny, unusual shape but I think it will make for an interesting project" The Satyr said with a smile as he held up his lopsided pumpkin. Atticus lightly hummed in amusement and nodded. Afterwards they paid for their finds and headed home in order to carve them out. It was a messy task but in the end they came out to be beautiful decorations.

Day 3: Fall Carnival

Horns and the sounds of cheering could be heard as Ven and Violet stepped through the newly open Fall Carnival. Countless game booths had been set up along with multiple stands selling delicious confectionaries to satiate ones sweet tooth. Naturally both birds wasted no time in helping themselves to tasty snacks before deciding what games they should attempt. Each booth provided an array of different prizes to win. The majority of them gave away massive plushies one of which caught Violets eye.

"Oh Ven! Look!" Violet peeped, pointing towards a plush of a little cat witch. "I gotta have that! Please please please~" Violet pleaded. Ven glanced over and gave her a gentle nod.. He'd certainly try his best. The game was tossing rings onto the stems of pumpkins which proved to be a more difficult task then he first expected. Some of the pumpkins had curved or weirdly shaped stems that would make the rings bounce off of them when thrown. Ven narrowed his eyes as he attempted to figure out how he'd 'cheat' this so to speak. Most carnival games are rigged against the player anyway... What harm would he cause if he sleazed a prize just once? He had a girl to impress after all. He held the ring in his hand, lightly frosting it over before flinging it towards a pumpkin. Due to the ice, it gave him some control over the trajectory and the speed in which it would eventually hit the stem. Luckily was a hit!

Day 4: Warmth

Cuddling by the warmth of the fire was a common activity for couples, especially in the fall. Atticus rested with his back against Orion's chest while he gazed into the fire with a sleepy gaze. The heat radiating from the fireplace was lulling him to sleep though he knew he had a cup of warm hot chocolate within his hand. "Getting sleepy?" Orion asked, wrapping an arm around the birds stomach.

"Mmm... Its been a long day and the fire feels good..." He described while raising his cup to his lips in order to take a sip.

"I know what you mean. Before I met you, I'd have very few opportunities to enjoy moments like this. Its a blessing for me really. I wouldn't know what I would do if my life hadn't turned around the way it did..." Orion said, resting his chin against Atticus's shoulder.

"I feel the same..." Atticus said, tipping his head to the side so that their cheeks lightly touched. "I likely would of never done some of the things that I would have if you weren't around. Im grateful" Atticus admitted. The satyr couldn't help but smile warmly, setting down his cup in order to fully hug the prince in his arms. He considered himself incredibly lucky to be here and now. To be able to enjoy quiet moments of peace such as this was a blessing. Despite Atticus considering his life difficult it wasn't so bad when he sat with his lover in front of the warm fire.

Day 5: The Hunt

The scent had been picked up making Weiss's eyes dilate with delight. It had been a while since he had gone hunting with Khan. During these times is when he felt the most alive, stalking and taking down creatures that were weaker then him. Though most things didn't have stand a chance against him, Weiss relished in that power. His body seemed to slither through the foliage as he climbed up trees, leaping from branch to branch. Khan watched from below with an amused expression as he watched his mate get into the thrill of the hunt. "Heh... You're more into this then I thought" He described, leaping up onto a branch beside him.

"Shh... You will give away our area" Weiss softly whispered as he perked his ears, hearing footsteps in the distance. "That way... We are getting closer. I doubt they will be able to go on much longer after the wound that I inflicted" He described before leaping onto another branch nearby. Khan followed silently being silent like an owl much like Weiss. The phantom bird squinted as a weakened pray animal stumbled into his view. Khan could practically see Weiss's feathers poof up in excitement. Before the creature could even react, it was consumed by the white birds dark shadows. Within moments it was completely dispatched. Once the shadows receded its body was curled up on the floor. Weiss leaped down with a triumphant grin. "We will eat well tonight" He described as their hunt was a success.

Day 6: Found Footage

Behind the phantom birds was a dark forest which he often took strolls through. Weiss enjoyed its creepy atmosphere as it made him feel as though he was right at home. However on todays walk he came across something interesting. There was a lost camera hidden within the foliage which he had the misfortune of stepping on. The pain shot up his toes, causing him to reel back and use his tail to uncover the object. With an annoyed glare he picked it up, examining its properties. It still seemed to have some life in it. Slowly he took the time to scroll through its contents, seeing strange images of mushrooms, runes and ink blotches. It was at the end that he had come across a video. Curiosity got the better of him and he began to watch it. It was some explorer who had wandered his way deep into the woods. He sounded out of breath and afraid as though he had gotten lost while attempting to escape something. It peeked Weiss's interest. The cameraman turned around, attempting to use the flash on the camera as some kind of nightlight and that's when Weiss saw it. Some 4 legged abomination that had a maw filled with rows of monstrous teeth. It was so beautiful that it made the birds heart race. As the footage cut out as the cameraman was dragged away screaming, Weiss found himself infatuated with the idea of finding the massive beast from this mysterious footage.

Day 7: Secrets

At times Ven pondered to himself about his past. The countless lies and secrets he had said or kept to himself in order to further his own needs. Secrets that nearly ended up ruining the precious things he had in his life all in attempts to obtain the power he desired. He glanced to Violet who was by his side wondering if she was still hurting from what he kept from her for so long. Honesty was difficult to stand by but he knew if he continued to keep secrets that he'd never be able to regain her trust.

"What are you thinking about Ven?" Violet asked as she noticed him looking towards her.

"Just about how secretive I used to be. Things that I now know I should of told you about" Ven admitted. Violet gave him a small smile and pat his shoulder.

"Heh.. Yes... There were many things you did keep from me and boy was I mad about them when I found out. I'm glad that you seem to be reflecting on your actions however... Its important to do so. Some secrets can be kept... Like surprises or gifts but not when you need help. Its why its important to communicate and not hold things in. Secrets dont solve problems" Violet explained.

"I know... Trust me I learned my lesson" Ven said as he leaned over and gave her a protective hug. "Besides... You seem to always have the best advice. There is no point in secrets anymore."

Day 9: Full Moon

When the nights were the darkest and the moon was the brightest was what Weiss considered to be the most ideal time. Its luster shining bright in the sky but still not being strong enough to light the way as the sun did was mystical to the bird. It was like a beacon for all to follow yet it lead no where. "Staring at the moon again?" Khan asked as he sat beside his mate.

"Yes... It is quite beautiful... Especially when its full like this" Weiss described. The bird closed his eyes, practically being able to feel the moons power shining down on him. "I heard fairy tails about people becoming entranced by the moon and turning into monsters as a result. In a way, I wish it were true." He admitted.

"You mean werewolves?" Khan asked with a small hum of amusement. "I didn't take you for the fantasy type."

"I usually don't care to partake. The concept of evolving into something more powerful is what interests me. The key to that is just resting within the sky. No one can stop that flow of strength." Weiss expressed.

"I don't think its impossible. I've heard of plenty of people finding ways to harness the essence of the moon." Khan said. This certainly perplexed Weiss as he too wished to learn. What spells would he be able to cast? What creatures would he be able to summon... So many things were left a complete mystery that Weiss just had to crack.
