⚡ Spell Sleeve (Mythic)

This trait is a WIP! While it is available for use, please be aware that designs submitted are more likely to be rejected if they use this trait due to lack of up to date reference material.

🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr using a Mythic Trait Potion

Trait: Allows the arms, legs, wings, and/or tail to be entirely covered in any amount/size of runes and runic symbols.
Size: Can cover anywhere from 50%-100% of at least one limb, maximum coverage is 100% of all limbs.

✅ Application can be asymmetrical
✅ Can be applied to all locations without needing additional copies of the item
✅ Runes can optionally glow/partially glow. For browbirds glowing runes often match the color of their magic, so rune glow must roughly match at least one crest color. The glow can be constant or only active during certain situations. If the glow can turn on/off please provide references of both variants.
✅ Runes can be fictional symbols or real life words/symbols. If submitting a design using real life words please provide a translation when submitting if they are non-english words. Any text that breaks community guidelines is not permitted.

❌ Cannot be applied to the same character more than once
❌ Rune glow cannot be white for a browbird unless they have the mythic white crest effect.
❌ Runes cannot be invisible when not glowing

It takes a considerable amount of time, energy, and magic to painstakingly engrave runes into one arm, let alone multiple limbs. With the added fact that finding someone who is capable of doing the procedure without botching the job is even more difficult, it's something only those who are thoroughly dedicated to their magical ability, improvement, and efficiency would even hope to attempt.

The runes and where they're placed usually represent the way someone casts their magic and the meaning they give to it, similar to what might be inscribed on a spell scroll, magic tome, or enchanted blade but far more personal to the person. However the pain and dedication involved act of carving them into the flesh or burning them across the fur allows the wielder to cast their spells automatically with a simple though and no components other than the aura required to conjure the effect and in some cases such strong resolve even enhances the magic.

This type of runic marking usually correspondes to magic affecting the user's physical body. It can be used to simply strengthen an arm or leg, reinforcing the muscle, and bone, or to enhance spells cast from that specific part of the body. These runes are sometimes used to prevent curses and magic-based infections from spreading as well, sealing them in one limb.
