Traits

🌈 Can be applied using a Rare Trait Potion.
🌈 Can be applied using a Crisp Talon Fish item.

Trait: Allows the browbird to have talon-like scales on their hands and/or feet
Size: Cannot go past the elbows on the arms, or past the ankles on the feet.

✅  Can be asymmetrical
✅  Can be applied to the feet, hands, or both. You do not need multiple copies of the trait.
✅ Often causes the claws to be sharper and more obvious

❌ Cannot be metallic, if the scales are shiny it should be kept to a minimum

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Rare Trait Potion (browbird or painted satyr)
• Bunny Parfait (browbird or painted satyr)

Trait:  Makes the character's ears super long!
Size: Up to 50% body height

✅ Can be applied asymmetrically, ex: one ear is long, the other is short
✅ Long ears can be any of the default ear styles (same for painted satyr) and do not have to be bunny/lop style
✅ Can also affect the ear fur to make it super long! Cannot be stacked on top of max length ears to double length.

✅ Can also be applied to hiros wing ears. These can also be up to 50% body height and still function as ears... But can flap like wings as well!

✅ This trait can be applied for free if you meet the requirements, please go to the Salon to do so.

Allows the ears to have short "antennae" sprouting them. Can be applied to any ear type.

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Mythic Trait Potion - browbird or painted satyr

Trait: Lightly elemental markings resembling text, words, letters, numbers, intricate enchanted symbol, and complex spell circles.
Size: Up to 25% body coverage spread out however you'd like.

✅ SPECIAL FOR THIS TRAIT: Can be COMBINED with rare runic markings for a total of 50% coverage. All effects of this trait can also extend to rare runes if both traits are present.
✅ Can have a minor elemental effect that affects the runes OR any accent markings near the runes. This effect should be styled like any of the following:

• Flames
• Dripping liquid
• Floating liquid
• Smoke
• Light rays

✅Can be any solid or gradiant color. Element color and effect usually matches the character's magic color or an aspect they have.
✅ Runes and element can optionally glow. Runes must stay visible even when not glowing.
✅ Runes can have accent circles, lines, and shapes that overlap and surround them. These lines can also optionally glow and be affected by the elemental effect, but only when next to a rune
✅Runes have 4 general styles, you may mix and overlap them as you'd like! You can design your own runes!

• Strings of fantasy symbols or real life text
• Intricate runes and lines grouped together
• Letters, numbers, or words
• Single large runes, can optionally be surrounded by a circle and smaller runes (multiple can be placed over the body)

❌ Elemental effect should remain small and cannot stray far from the runes. Element should also only be one/multiple of the effects listed. It cannot be other effects ex: glitch, flowers, butterflies, eyes, etc!
❌ Moons, stars, etc will still need their respective traits to be incorporated into runes. Runes should still be present, even when using other shapes! Diamond-shaped marks are free and can be used to accent runes as you'd like.
❌ The space between runes cannot be elemental, only the runes themselfs and/or the accent lines close to the runes. Runes + elemental effect aso can not be so densly packed or huge that it makes part of the body appear solidly elemental.
❌ Cannot appear to be coming from the eyes or mouth

🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr using a Mythic Trait Potion

Trait:  Allows for the eye to be completely replaced a space-like effect with stars and sparkles.
Size: Only affects the eyes.

✅ Can be any color
✅ Those with starsight will cry sparkling tears that resemble space, these tears can often stain the character's face.

❌ Both eyes must match unless the character has Mismatched Eyes

Starsight is an incredibly powerful ability that's almost unheard of as a natural occurrence outside of the mysterious Reverie type. However, it is possible for one to obtain starsight through many years of pain staking work, experimentation, magic training, and some times what could be considered self torture. Most of the time these things will ultimately fail and leave the browbird permanently starblind.

Starsight grants a whole new range of abilities to the bearer, allowing them to see things that they could not have hoped to process before. Even this small sliver of the gods' powers allows them to glimpse into alternate futures and pasts, as well as see off into distant planes and worlds. To gain this they do have to sacrifice their present vision. It is both a curse and a blessing in many regards.

Trait:  Allows for a clouded eye effect with stars and sparkles covering it.
Size: Only affects the eyes.

✅ Can be any color

❌ Both eyes must match unless the character has Mismatched Eyes

Starblindness is an extremely rare condition that causes the eye to become cloudy with stars and sparkles covering it. The browbird will have minimal or no sight in the eye/eyes afflicted with this trait. Colors and images will be distorted, sometimes causing the browbird to see into the past for future for very brief periods of time.

It is sometimes considered a punishment granted to those who recklessly pushed the limits of magic too far for their body to handle and thus resulted in irreversible magical damage to the eyes. This can be from using more energy than your crest can muster for a long period of time, causing your aura to compensate by looking elsewhere in your body for energy.

On the other hand, there are some who end up inflicting this condition onto themselves in an attempt to achieve starsight and ultimately failed.

Trait:  Spiral eyes are eyes with many rings, or eyes that are entirely take up by a spiral. These eyes can change between the forms at will or when the character uses magic.
Size: Only affects the eyes.

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Liquid Eclipse - Browbird and painted satyr
• Mythic Trait Potion - Browbird and painted satyr

Trait: Dark sclera eyes with a bright, glowing ring 
Size: The minor elemental effect can extend up to x1 eye height from the eye on each side

✅ 2 different options:

• Black sclera with white iris, white iris can optionally glow
• Black sclera with sharp, sunbeam, or fire-like glow in white or any bright color

✅ Can combine with other eye types to get their unique effects as long as it still meets the requirements of eclipse eyes.

❌ This trait isn't needed to have a black sclera + normal color iris, or white iris + normal colored sclera. It must specifically be black sclera + white iris OR have the minor elemental iris effect!

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Pickled Eyes - Browbirds and painted satyr

Trait: Changes the eyes to be solid blank color or gradient with no pupil or iris, or completely empty.
Size: Only affects the eyes.

✅ Can optionally glow without need of the glowing eyes trait. Can glow constantly or only in specific situations, glow does not need to be included on the masterlist.

❌ Not holes OR missing eyes! Missing eyes (due to injury) are not a trait and can be done with standard eyes. Eyes with the void trait are still present, just modified.
❌ Eye cannot resemble glitch, static, or clear spirals. Veins on or around the eye should look like veins!
❌ Cannot have a clear iris or pupil by default, but you can combine with other eye types if the design also has those traits (ex: shaped pupils + vein eyes)
❌ Can be combined with other eye types. Both eyes must match, unless the character has Mismatched Eyes

Trait: Allows one or both eyes to glow.
Size: Only affects the eyes. Glow effects should not leave the general eye area! Glowing aura can trail off the face slightly.

NOTE: Glow does not need to be shown on prompts, it is up to you when your character's eyes glow!

❌ Does not change the eye style or apply mismatched eyes. Eyes should still be the same color/style. If applying glow or glowing aura the local colors should still indicate the eyes match, if the glowing eye is brighter/has overlays.
❌ Glow cannot completely obstruct the eye or be so blown out the eye appears blank/empty.
❌ Glow color should match the eye colors
❌ Aura applied over the eye must be a translucent BRIGHT COLOR and clearly show the original eye underneath. Cannot only show an outline on the eye or appear as if the eye itself is elemental. Cannot be black/dark colors/etc.

• Rare Trait Potion - Browbird and painted satyr

Trait: Allows the iris and pupil to be all kinds of shapes and styles! Get your eyes blasted with magic TODAY.
Size: Only affects eyes

✅ Can be any shape not covered by another trait as long as the IRIS is a clear solid simple shape. Ex: moon, star, square, lightning bolt, cross, flower, etc!
✅ Pupil can be any shape and there can be multiple pupils as long as it's contained to the main iris shape.
✅ Visible pupil is optional!
✅ Can stack with other eye traits to create more combinations. Ex: mismatched eyes for entirely different styles/colors in both eyes!

❌ Cannot resemble: spiral/ringed patterns that encompass the entire eye, scribbles, bifold eyes (without the bifold trait), eyes with multiple separate irises, any text/runes/words without the runic eyes trait, eyes with no dicernable iris, or eyes filled with stars like starsight/starblind traits. Basically anything that's already covered under another trait isn't included!
❌ Cannot resemble non-eye textures, such as being made out of crystal or liquid blood.
❌ Cannot resemble multiple eyes
❌ The IRIS (part that contains everything else, not the sclera) must be a SOLID shape. Everything within it can be various other shapes, broken up shapes, etc! For example: the iris cannot be solidly split down the middle to make two separate irises, but the inner shapes and pupil can be!
❌ Both eyes must match by default!

🌈 APPLIED WITH:

• Uncommon Trait Potion - browbird or painted satyr
• Mismatched Potion - browbird or painted satyr

Trait: Allows eyes to be mismatched in color, pupil, or both!
Size: Only affects eyes

✅ Either eye can be any common style, iris, sclera, and pupil can all be different colors. Pupil and sclera can be any common shape.
✅ Can also be paired with rare and mythic eyes to allow them to be mismatched as well! Ex: mismatched + glamour eyes lets you have two different pupil/iris shapes!

❌ This trait is not required to have a missing or clouded eye
❌ You can use common reversal eyes instead if you ONLY want the same colors to be flipped

☑️ Common traits are free to apply to new MYOs. You can add a common trait on an existing design using an Appearance Change.

Trait: Flips the colors of 1 eye
Size: Only affects 1 eye

✅ Affects any eye type. You can pick left or right eye.

❌ Colors and pupil+iris shape must all be the same. This ONLY reverses the color placement of 1 eye. New colors are not added.

❗ This trait is restricted to hiros/half-hiros subtype browirds only!

➕ This trait can be applied for free to a hiros/half-hiros browbird MYO slot.
☑️ If your existing hiros/half-hiros browbird design does not have this trait it can be added with an Appearance Change at the Salon.

Trait: Replaces the browbird's ears with small feathered wings
Size: Cannot be bigger than the examples shown below.

✅ You can change both ears or have 1 wing ear and 1 standard ear
✅ Can be asymmetrical in shape/style
✅ You may apply it asymmetrically to have one wing ear and one regular ear
✅ Feathers/wing can be tattered but not gorey/mangled by default
✅ Wing ears can be folded, flare out, and even cover the character's eyes. If eyes are covered please provide an eye reference.

❌ This trait does not apply extra ears/face wings and cannot be applied multiple times to apply more ears

🌈 Can be applied to a browbird or painted satyr using a Mythic Trait Potion

Trait: Adds small wisps of magic that surround the browbird or painted satyr.
Size: Wisps should remain very small and cannot be larger than the examples shown.

✅ Can be any small, simplistic shape
✅ Can be solid, translucent, or outlines of a shape
✅ Can float anywhere around the body
✅ Can be any color
✅ Can optionally glow or have a glowing outline. If placed on a browbird the glow should roughly match at least one color on a browbird's crest
✅ Different shapes can be used at the same time
✅ Wisps can can flicker, move slightly around the character, slightly animate, and shift in shape!

❌ Should be very small
❌ Cannot resemble sparkles
❌ Cannot intersect or merge with the crest or other traits
❌ Cannot be placed to mimic a browbird's crest or float around a crest
❌ Cannot directly be attached to the body, they should float above/around the body
❌ Cannot form rings or clusters around the body or other traits. Should be spaced out and float somewhat randomly
❌ Cannot obstruct other traits (EX: clustered to totally cover a characters eye)
