It's a big tradition on Wyldre to make the first pickle of the year before the winter starts and, in some cases, people will hold onto the previous year's pickle in order to ferment it even further. The local favorite of Candletown is a braided pretzel dusted in sweet cinnamon sugar perfect for settling into the autumn season, and when paired with Harara's signature cheesy rye pretzel, it's an explosion of salty and sweet flavor. In celebration of this journey and the sacrifice of the deimities who made it possible, donuts of all kinds mimicking the shape of the original portal have been made in Candletown for centuries. From cake to fried to filled, powdered to glazed, these delicious treats and the leftover donut holes they are frequently sold with have been a staple of Candletown culture for as long as the citizens can remember. In fact, Candletowners have their own slang for donuts and donut holes: dangits and dangnabbits, respectively!

A delicious treat that can often be seen in the windows of pastry shops in the spring season. The flavor is sweet, but not overly sweet, so it hits a pleasant balance that makes it easy to eat an entire box in one sitting. The butterfly decoration is actually edible as well, and is made of hard sugar that sparkles in the light.

Each store has their own signature way of deocrating it and there are event contests held to see who can make the most over the top, beautiful, and delicious Moss Cakes. 

This particular slice is one from the Castella Cafe, a popular place in Snowstar Village.

The "moss" on the cake is perfectly delicious and edible.

This glowing drink is said to be the most delicious thing in Snowstar, and all of the entire quadrant Aldebast is located in. The exact flavor can't be compared to anything else!

Made with the best ingridients and prepared over the course of several days, you actually have to order this delicious treat in pretty far in advance if you want to have a chance at trying it. But even then they're usually completely backed up on orders and considering it's only available for a limited time each year the chances are slim. And this isn't even mentioning the steep price!

A grub that has a rainbow shine. It has reached it's final size before beginning its metamorphasis into its final form at the end of a five year process. It is at this time when they finally emerge from their underground life of consuming crystals and use the magical energy they have gathered over this period in a beautiful display of color before ascending to astral oceans in search of a new home.

It is believed that these creatures are the offspring of the god of dreams that collect in his eyes as crystal eggs while he sleeps, only to be brushed away like eye sand without second thought. The eggs then occasionally fall out of the dreamscape whenever small cracks in reality appear at the behest of a Reverie. 

If you were to find one of these rare creatures at this stage in their life and witness their transformation, you may find yourself blessed with luck for another five years.

★ Description: 

An odd bulb that can be discovered on a rare occasion in ancient graveyards or places where much death has taken place. When found this way, it is dull and colorless, and may resemble nothing more than a stone. However, if one were to care for it and raise it well they would find that as the seed sprouts, their own soul would burn brightly above their head. 

The sprouts from this seed twist and glow like flames, and the sparks that stream from it cause shivers as they pass through your hands.

A soft, pink, doughy dessert filled with something that tastes like flowers and sugar. It's sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, which makes it difficult to not stuff your face with ten of them in one sitting.

It's wrapped in a golden leaf and decorated with small flowers, though you can actually eat the decorations. No one specifically says that though, which can cause confusion for those trying it for the first time. They wonder Can I eat these flowers? As they glance around at others enjoying the snack, hoping their hesitation is not noticed.

★ Description: 

A odd-shaped bottle filled with a brightly glowing translucent liquid. You can see a vague eye shape within that is frozen at the bottle's center. When you touch the glass, you feel a strange tingling sensation from the energy radiating off of it.

Those who drink this will feel extremely hyperactive for several hours afterwards.

★ Description
This is the pupa of a particularly delicate magical moth that make their homes in dense forests. While they are plentiful in the wilderness districts of Centuary, they are still quite difficult to find. However, the difficulty involved with tracking them down is what makes them a fun prize for insect hunters.

It has some uses in potionmaking for medicines and glamours. It's also a popular cooking ingredient! The most common cooking method is to make it a savory snack that's prepared with a generous helping of herbs and has a nice crunch to it! You'll find food stands in the markets of Centuary offering these as streetfood!
