Extra Notes:

"✦ This browbird was born and raised in a hatchery, much like all birds were. However, this nursery also doubled as a Victorian-esque dormitory and boarding school for orphans and unclaimed children.

✦They became very close with their roommates and the other students, their only friends. The group would often go out together and explore outside in the forest and other surrounding areas. This school seemed to be quite in the middle of nowhere… So more often than not, they would make up rumors and stories about fearsome beasts and what lay beyond the twisted trees, whose leaves never grew no matter the season.

✦ Hauntings and ghosts were not unheard of, so naturally, the troop wanted to investigate as per usual. The group often would draw lots as to who had to be the one to be the bait so to speak; who would be brave enough to venture forth and scout the area first.

✦ This time it was their turn to go first. Being usually shy and reclusive, they would often worm their way out of having to be the scapegoat. However, the group of friends argued that it was not fair to the rest of them, and they should finally show a little courage and do it. Hesitantly, fingers trembling, this bird would go as instructed, to the lone dorm room on the very bottom floor of the castle. The room that had been locked up for years, no student allowed to enter. No one really knew why. Some say a student died here, others say it was inhabited by their spirit, or a monster. Others claim that the real headmaster was behind these doors, or some uncontainable demon. Whatever it was, it had to be hogwash, right?

✦ One of the students, having deviously obtained the key, opens the door with a smirk on their face and gestures this Browbird in. The group all gather behind them, not letting them turned back, and unceremoniously shove them inside. They close the door from the outside… And wait.

And wait. And wait.

✦ Surely this wouldn’t take that long, right? It was just a joke… Right? They wait it out a bit more…. But dead silence. Whispering among themselves… they shove someone forward to open the door. It creaks as it slides on its hinges, an eerie, red glow eminating from inside. They called out the browbirds name… But no answer.  Instead, a lone, red eye stares at them from the dark.

✦A figure who’s shirt was stained red, multiple limbs and eyes all focused on them with deep accusation. Their very crest, staring at them, it’s gaze shattered from what it saw. What had happened in here? What did you see? You shouldn’t have looked… oh, you shouldn’t have looked."
