Somewhere out there in the Celestial Seas, a small planet orbits along a confluence of leylines. Lush flora and overgrowth run rampant here, from grasslands taller than the eye can see to towering forests with thick floral canopies, fed by the never-ending stream of celestial magic. With such fertile soil it’s little wonder that this place is home to so many painted satyrs! They proliferate here as easy as breathing — current residents must take care not to leave any stray masks around outside their home, lest a new seedling pop up practically overnight with the rest of the overgrowth. It’s common for satyrs that live here to cultivate the area around where they were born into a garden. Everything grows so well! How could they not? Plus, if they don’t, they might find it difficult to navigate… Paths get overgrown quickly around here!

1. 🍎 Apple Orchard 🍏

✦ This satyr spends their time tending to acres upon acres of apple trees, growing all sorts of delicious snacks for their friends and family. Their apple cider is the best in the business! Recently they encountered a bit of a pest problem, and though they managed to scare most of the vermin off, one in particular has stuck around. The little fella is pretty cute, but they do keep trying to steal apples right out of the tree!

2. 🍁 Magic Mushroom 🍄

✦ They awoke one day to find that they lie at the center of a large fairy ring without a single recollection of who they were, or how they'd gotten there.

✦ The only things they knew were the soft pillow of lush grass that sat green and glistening with dew beneath them, and the refreshing rustle of a cool breeze through shaded woods that raised their hair and lightly fanned their cheek.

✦ That was all a long time ago now, but even then the fungi clung to them as naturally as it would to a mossy log in the shade. And they found within, an innate fascination for the tangle of mycelium that wove it's way throughout their glade, unseen, but as widespread as the roots of all the trees. Alive and flourishing.

✦ Their garden is not as typical as most. Where others would grow ornamental flowers, fruits, or herbs, they instead cultivate all manner and form of mushroom. From Chanterelle to Deadly Webcap, they know them all as well as the back of their hand. It is what comes most natural to them. Less so are their infrequent but always awkward interactions with others. Idle conversation simply isn't their strongest suit, though it's not for lack of trying. One day they dream of forming a stalwart companionship.

3. 🖤 Wither And Blossom 🌸

✦ In a planet full of lush growth and vibrant flora, it's no surprise the over-abundant magic that fuels this life would also, in turn, aid the spread of a particular patch of sickly thorns and miasmatic flora. Nestled deep in a particularly dark fracture of the world you may find one satyr that has managed to flourish even in the deadly nest of the Brambleglade. To most, it'd be a marvel just to make a home in a place so inhospitable, but to them, it's all they've known. From the day they sprouted out from ink-marked land they'd spent each day surviving by sheer luck - until knowledge shaped the way to survival. Years come to pass and they find themself perfectly at ease navigating the tangled maws of vegetation and fending off the venomous creatures that crawl beneath. Still, part of their heart wonders is this was all there was to life?

✦ Occasional happenings of broken weapons, abandoned bags, and torn research journals make no sense to them. Things that were different... things that were other. Could it be that there was more out there beyond the thorns? It was a fantasy at best. But ever so often when a ray of sun pierces through even the thick smog and overgrowth, they'd like to believe a dream could become reality. Maybe someday they could be found.

4. 🧚‍♀️ Pitaya and Pixiedust ✨

✦ Sprung forth from the very heart of the forest, this satyr seeks to bring a burst of color to the starseas.
Leaving behind trails of enchanted pixiedust everywhere they wander, any place they visit is sure to have a touch of green (and pink!) sprout up soon after.

5. 🦋 Enchanted Pond 🪷

✦ Tucked away in a mystical grove lies a gently bubbling spring that widens into a sparkling teal pond, its waters as clear as crystal. This satyr does not recall when precisely they were born, only that these iridescent waters are all they can remember, as they came into being out of the sheer magical energy that emanates from this pool. 

✦ This place they call home, however, is not just any pond. Drinking its waters is said to grant one their deepest desires, although not exactly in the ways you may expect... Raised by the trees and spirits of the forest, this Satyr has taken it upon themself to be the guardian of this spring, warding away those with malicious intent, and guiding those pure of heart. 

✦ They can be found gliding gracefully on a wooden gondola, lantern guiding them across the enchanted waters, leaving a sparkling trail of butterflies in their wake.
