About Horn Engraving
A characteristic that many species of the Celestial Seas share is their horns, which come in a variety of shapes and sizes. After existing for thousands of years with such a feature, various beliefs and customs began to form around horns.
When visiting any place with a large population of browbirds, it's likely that you'll see the occasional person with intricately carved horns. Sometimes they appear in abstract swirls, while others will have detailed carvings that seem to tell a story in its design. The exact style and symbolism behind each carving often relates to where the person is from, what symbols are important to them, and why they got the carvings in the first place.
Carved horns are usually made to be more striking than your average horn. Some even go so far as to paint these carvings in vibrant colors to further accent what it represents. Carvings are often done to mark someone as a person who has accomplished a great feat in their life. What this feat could be is just about any kind of positive event, either for the one being carved or for those they may have helped.
Any species can come to have carved horns, and the reasons for why one would have their horns carved is as varied as there is stars in the sky. It can sometimes be a reward for an act of good in the eyes of others, or the mark of a true hero that stands out from the rest, or simply something of great personal significance that they would want to remember.
Carvings are important because they will last on ones horns long after death as permanent marks of the good things that person did. Thus, their story lives on.
β Prompt
Draw or write about an event of importance from your character's life!
β¦β¦β¦Ββ¦ Did your character ever save someone? Perhaps they are a local hero to whatever town they call home. They could have heroically defeated a monster terrorizing a city, or they could have befriended a great beast. Maybe they won some kind of contest or championship, like a gladiator battle or magical duel, or even something like a food eating competition.
β¦ Or it could be that, at some point in their life, they accomplished something of personal significance. They could have overcome a great struggle despite all odds stacked against them. Maybe their most impactful moment was an act of love, the time when they confessed or proposed to someone they cared about.
β¦ A serious event, a funny circumstance, or just another day in the life! Think of what sort of experience best suits your character!

And We Got Older

About
As the hands of time move forward, we do as well. People come and go, seasons pass, battles are fought, towns are built, change is all around us. Where we come from, every experience we have and the people who grow alongside us will each leave their own impact, shaping us into who we are today and who we will be tomorrow.
Browbirds, painted satyr and kitbulls come from all across the stars, so it's only natural they would grow up in all sorts of places. With time, a browbird may decide to leave their home to explore the local area, their entire world, or even set sail for the stars. Where one may never experience the cold starry sea air in their lifetime, another may have spent their entire life seeing different worlds.
For most, growing old is an inevitable part of life. Some may eventually grow tired of travel and decide to settle down, while others may not begin their journey until much later in their life.
The lives of those in the Celestial Seas can vary immensely as each individual has their own story to share!
β Prompt
Draw or write about how your character has grown and will change throughout their lifetime.
Depict your character as a child and as an adult (their current design) to show how theyβve changed over the years!
β¦β¦β¦You can optionally include additional stages, such as a version of them in their teen years, or future versions of the character as a way to explore your hypothetical plans for the design. In a future older version, you can add features that are your goals for the character (Example, if you do not yet have broken horns you could add them to the "future" older version of the character if you plan to get them)!Β While the design does not officially have those traits yet, it can be fun to ponder the possibilities!
Please be mindful of group rules and do not use these hypothetical designs as the current "canon" design.
β¦β¦β¦β¦ Was your character raised by their family? Were riches bestowed upon them from birth, or were they left to fend for themselves with nothing but a blanket to keep them warm? Perhaps they wandered off from home in the middle of the night wondering what that glowing bright light in the distance harbored.
β¦ As your character grew, were they the sort who could do no wrong, or maybe they were an absolute troublemaker always pulling pranks on unsuspecting victims.
β¦ How did their local traditions affect how they dressed or who they aspired to be? How has the way they express themself change over the years?Β Did they ever travel far from home and if so; Do they still feel close to where they came from?
β¦ Were they surrounded by others for most throughout their life, or were they the sort who was left alone, either by choice or through an unfortunate turn of events?
β¦ From when they're a child, teenager, adult, and old, think about how your character's surroundings and experiences shape who they are!
β Allowed Species
BrowbirdPainted SatyrKitbullNo BrowletNo Companion-only
Β
β¦ Browbirds don't have a fully formed crest until they become an adult!
β¦ Browbirds don't show signs of their second aspect until they become an adult.
β¦ Their horns will often be much smaller or even not yet grown when they are younger.
β¦ Runic markings, broken horns, and horn carvings are applied traits and may not be on a young child browbird.
β¦ They are incredibly fluffy as babies!
Β
Β
β¦ Kittles often don't have as many colors and markings when compared to their adult selves
β¦ A kittle likely wouldn't have any mutations or peculiars yet since they would gain those slowly over their life. So wings, horns, flaming fur, and the like would not yet show up on a young kittle!
Β
Β
β¦ Runic markings and horn carvings are applied traits and may not be on a young child satyr.
β¦ Their horns and sometimes their tail appear as small sprouts instead.
β¦ Any flora they grow will appear as sprouts that gradually changes over their life into their usual flora.
β¦ Painted satyr have many ways in which they come into being. For those that are born normally they would look much more like a regular baby. But for those who are created through magic and mud, they might resemble the cute onion-shaped fellows shown here for a little while!β¦ Painted satyr can also come into being through having their mask placed over the body of a dead humanoid and then buried in a place that has a natural source of power (Such as near a magic tree). For characters like this, feel free to possibly show a scene from their past life before being reborn as a painted satyr!

You are also able to depict your character at more stages (Max of 6 total. Current version + Child + 4 others). Shattered Past
[2 Prompts || β¨ππ] β Everyone has a low point in their life. What was your character's? β

Β
β
About
Throughout the Celestial Seas, horns of some kind growing from the head is a common sight. Such a widespread feature is bound to have importance assigned to it, and so many people take time to paint, decorate, or even carve the horns that crown their heads as a means to express themself or shown pride in their accomplisments. Even masks, while not as commonly found on other creatures as they are on painted satyr, hold a similar amount of importance to the ones who bear them.
β¦ For Browbirds, horns are held in high regards and is a core part of their traditions. Horn carvings for browbirds are often only granted to someone who has accomplished a great feat, and thus their story will last forever as carved pictures. Their horns are naturally very sturdy and known for being difficult to break, thus special tools or specialized magical spells are often needed to carve or modify horns. A horn simply snapping off is practically unheard of for a horn to simply break, outside of the very young having a clumsy accident. Thus, a broken or cracked horn will draw attention and cause concern, due to being such a rare sight, as well as the negative symbolism it holds.Β
In places that follow traditional practices closely, if a browbird were to fail at an important task bestowed upon them they would be punished with one or both horns, depending on the severity of the mistake, being broken by a weapon made for the task. The same fate could happen to those who betray the trust of their people for personal gain, or suffer a great defeat in battle against a great foe. Not only would this serve as a symbol to all of one's failures, but for those with horns carved it could mean a devastating loss of history engraved upon them. Horns broken through these means as the mark of someone is untrustworthy, dangerous, or rightfully outcast and may result in the bearer of the shattered horns being turned away or shunned by the place they once called home.
β¦ When it comes to Kitbulls, injury is very rare, practically unheard of. Kitbulls are beings made entirely of magic, rather than flesh and blood and normally when harming one they will explode or regenerate. However, when a kitbull absorbs magical energy full of negativity they can sometimes become sick and weak, causing their horns to become brittle and easily crack and snap off if they were to be injured. A kitbull with broken horns could very well be a sick and struggling kitbull.
Regular injury is possible for kitbulls as well that can cause their horns to break. The can be possessive beings when it comes to their magical item hoards, so a lone adventurer attempting to rob a kitbull will likely find themself in a fierce battle. There are also other reasons a kitbull could fight, entire wars between large groups of kitbulls happen often right under everyone's noses, and there have also been whispers of a secret place where kitbulls fight brutal battles in the Centuary sewers.
β¦ Painted Satyrs have horns that break often and easily due to being soft and plant-like rather than hard and sturdy, every satyr will break their horns at some point, and once broken they will quickly regrow. Masks on the other hand are a central part of their culture and beliefs as they are what holds a satyr's soul. A crack across the mask of a painted satyr, however small, is a clear and visible sign that causes concern and stress for all who understand the meaning behind it.Β
Masks are not capable of cracking at all without something deeper at work, so even blunt force to the face alone will not cause any sort of break. Those with cracks have suffered something drastic and terrible in their life that has affected them to the point where their soul itself is damaged. This could be an injury, trauma, failure, a great burden, or something else entirely. Over time, the crack will gradually grow if the satyr represses what caused it, however they are always able to heal from these cracks if steps are taken to recover.

β
Part 1 Prompt
Depict a time in your character's life when they were at their lowest and/or when they failed at something extremely important.
β¦β¦β¦
How did they feel when they were in such a dark place?β¦ For every person there comes a time where things take a turn for the worse. Did your character ever enter a battle, convinced they could never be defeated, only to end up at the mercy of their opponent.
β¦ Or perhaps they were given an important quest, only to fail at the task given to them or run away from responsibility out of fear or weakness. There are those who do everything they can and yet the worst still came to pass, and they now must live with the haunting memories of what their decisions or inaction have caused. Guilt is a heavy burden to bear, especially when it feels there is no proper way to atone for one's mistakes.
β¦ Did your character lose someone? Were they ever left behind or hurt by those they loved or trusted?
β¦ How did they handle this negative or traumatic experience? Was what happened entirely their fault, or brought on by another?

While this is a more serious prompt that is potentially delving into darker sides of a character's backstory, we want to give a small reminder to keep all entries "PG-13" in terms of content. So tons of gore or entries with very upsetting themes that break community guidelines may be turned down.

Part 2 Prompt
Depict how your character has overcome the low point shown in the previous prompt, or if they are still dealing with it, what are they currently doing to improve or heal?
β¦β¦β¦β¦ When something terrible takes place it can be hard to see any hope for the future, but it is important to still move forward. How did your character come to terms with what happened? Did they try to atone or apologize for their mistakes? Did they completely leave their previous life behind? Or perhaps they returned later on to do the right thing this time.
β¦ Is it possible your character still is coming to terms with whatever took place in their past? Sometimes the pain of such evident scars will never truly subside, but one can find ways to live life again despite events they may struggle to come to terms with. There is always a tomorrow to look forward to.

About
Many people of the Celestial Seas find themselves interested in taking on some kind of crafting profession, either to follow their own personal interests or out of necessity. Whether it's a weapon needed to smite the local demon, a mysterious machine, or a hand-woven basket, each item has its purpose and the journey to gather the required materials could be as simple as a trip to the market, or lead on a long quest across the stars.
For some, creating something new is a one time quest or a side hobby, while many others dedicate their life to mastering their art and sharing it. It can be done for profit, out of obligation, for someone's own personal enjoyment, or for the enjoyment of others. There are any number of reasons why someone may find themself at a work bench, in front of a stove, or with magical parchments and crystals placed before them.
Whatever the craft, there is likely a reason it became part of someone's life whether it be mundane or fantastical.Β
This prompt has 3 parts! Each is considered its own prompt and will grant its own rewards. You must do each prompt in order and submit them separately to this post. You cannot do multiple as one piece.Β
Once you do all of these quests on a single character, you will permanently unlock crafting for your entire account.
You will not have to do a quest for each recipe - though some may have certain requirements - and once you unlock crafting you will not lose it in the event you trade the character it was unlocked on!Crafting can be completed one time per character. Characters who have completed crafting will have a badge added to their description.

β
Part 1 Prompt
Draw or describe your character's crafting station. Consider what it says about the character and how they conduct themself in their craft! Try to show how they use the station and what sorts of items they may make with it.
β¦β¦β¦β¦ Has your character dedicated an area within their home so they can carefully control their crafting environment, or do they have a separate studio or shop they work from, maybe they have set up outdoors so they can admire their surroundings and stay close to the materials they need! Is their workstation immaculate where everything they use has a place and is kept in perfect order, or are they constantly leaving their materials out while wondering where that piece of starwood they were just holding has disappeared to? What kind of setup do they need to create, is it more rustic, entirely magical, or do they use state of the art technology?
β¦ Does your character work entirely alone, or do they have an apprentice or assistants? Are they themself an apprentice? Perhaps your character's craft can be done on the go and they are able to bring all their work supplies with them. Do they take the time to seek out an area where they can work in peace, or do they find themselves inside a local inn where they can listen to and share stories with others?

Part 2 Prompt
Where does your character get their crafting materials? Are they the sort who must venture out into the wilderness in search of components, or can everything they need be found at the local market?
β¦β¦β¦β¦ For some, the challenge of slaying a great beast for its hide or scales to use in armor and potions can be a thrilling activity, but others prefer quiet walks through the forest picking mushrooms and herbs. Venturing into dark caverns may be the only way to find the special crystals and ores needed, but some projects will require you to scavenge through trash heaps instead.
β¦ Rather than go through the effort of finding materials themselves, it's possible they may pay others to do it for them, or they have a particular seller they rely on the provide them with top-quality components. There are also those who may steal from the market or their competition in order to save some cash.
β¦ Think about what your character requires for their craft and how they normally source their supplies!

Part 3 Prompt
What was the item or experience while crafting that truly inspired your character and set them on the path of their profession or hobby?
β¦β¦β¦β¦ What was the first item they made, and how did it turn out? How much have they improved since then?
β¦ How has this experience impacted them? Did their creation become famous? Or was it imperfect, inspiring them to do better?
β¦ How was their craft viewed by those around them? Were they an outcast for their ideas, or did others encourage and support them?
β¦ What first sparked your character's interest to make this item that they are proud of? Were they inspired by their surroundings, was it something taught to them by their family. Did they once meet someone experienced that taught them what they needed to know to get started, or were they holed up in a library doing reseach to learn a new skill.

About
Transformation is something every being across the stars endures in some form or another. While some may fight the changes, there are many who seek and embrace the new.
Painted Satyrs have always sought out the Grove as a place to learn something of themselves, and this path to the sacred place is considered a rite of passage for satyrs. To go there is to discover, to learn, to change. They seek one of the five spirits of nature found there - stag, hawk, wolf, cat, or serpent - to attain an even higher connection with their roots through self reflection or facing a conflict from their past.
Those who have sought this journey always come away from it born anew. For those who can face such trials and tribulations, the spirits leave a power with them that they possess forever. Only those who can completely overcome these challenges truly understand the meaning behind their change and the gifts that they received. It is an immensely personal quest and no one satyr will seek their spirit at the same time, instead waiting for the moment that feels right.

Alignments
There are 5 total path options that you may choose from for your Painted Satyr. Once you decide on a path, you will be locked in to the option you chose. Please consider carefully before submitting. The alignments are as follows:
πΊ CLICK HERE FOR WOLF πΊ
WOLF"Loyal, Energetic, Solitary, Patient.β
In the harsh and mountainous territory of the Wolf Spirit, the biting cold enters not only from the snow underneath you, but from the frigid winds blowing off the cliff sides. Powdered snow falls through the air in small waves, the land swallowed by a blanket of darkness that is illuminated by the expansive aurora above. Brilliant colours streak across the night sky, accompanied by stars that shimmer like fine sprinkles of glitter. In the centre is the moon, large and full as it peers upon the land below like an all seeing eye. You find that even with the certain rough and untamed edge there is a particular warmth, almost as if someone, or something, is looking down on you with a certain fondness upon your arrival.
You tread slowly, the snow absorbing nearly all of the sounds around you and making you feel as if you were transported into a small, isolated realm. Part of you was nearly convinced it was so if not for the soft crunch of snow under your hooves to remind you that you were still in the land of the living. Tall, withered ruins loom over you as you travel onward. Their dark and empty shells, a stark contrast to the endless fields of glowing white before you. It seems that no one has traversed these lands in some time, from how pristine and untouched it looks - that, or it snows so often that any tracks from those who may have journeyed here before you have long since been erased.
There is a moment where you find yourself wandering towards the top of the peaks, pausing at an outlook that overshadows the relics below. Despite the breadth of this area, it was as if these mountains, this place, were completely hidden from the rest of the world, a small pocket civilization, abandoned by time, that would leave you with nothing to do but reflect upon yourself. You exhale sharply, your breath rising in a large cloud and warming your face for the briefest moment. There was something about this solitary view from the peak of the mountain with the lights around you that felt otherworldly, and you lifted a hand, reaching towards the sky as if it could be touched and brought back to yourself. Just as your fingers aligned with the moon you hear a distant howl, and you turn with a certain ease that you would not have expected from yourself before. In that moment, you knew the Wolf Spirit was watching over your journey.β¦β¦β¦
Those who choose the Path of the Wolf are often looking for a sense of guidance and direction to find a prosperous path in their lives. Much like how a wolf will lead their pack and survive in the harshest of conditions, these Satyrs seek the ever elusive sense of security and knowing their fate and future is bright. It is also said that those who hail from cold or desolate places will find solace in this path, working as well with others as they would on their own.
π CLICK HERE FOR CAT π
CAT"Auspicious, Mysterious, Agile, Curious."
As you wander farther down the dark and winding path before you, a strong floral scent floods your senses. Surprised, you look up, only to find that a seemingly endless swath of flowers in all manner of different shapes, sizes, and blooms fills a field around you. You find yourself so enraptured in the scene that you hardly question where this field came from in the midst of your ventures, but you do notice that none of them seem to be wilting or damaged. They are all in various states of life, from small buds to large blossoms.
Pulling your eyes away from the field, you look upwards to see a trail of brilliant twinkling lights marking a path through the night sky. There seems to be some sort of correlation between the stars and the flowers, as you notice underneath certain flowers glow with a light that almost mirrors the ones from above. The abrupt feeling of serenity and peace filling the air is not lost on you, and you step off of the road into the field to follow the beckoning of the flowers. The farther you walk the more you notice an emanating warmth akin to that of the sun, delightful enough that one would almost be inclined to find a nice patch in the grass and curl up for a nap. Despite the temptation you press on, curiosity fills you at what this scene may hold.
After some time, you notice something in the distance that looks different from the rest of the field around it. A large gate stands alone in the middle of the landscape, stark and white in contrast to everything around it. At first, you find the gate to be rather imposing, but upon closer inspection you find there is a certain light illuminating it like the stars above that fills you with that same welcoming warmth that led you all this way. For a moment you hesitate, considering stepping through, until you notice a small figure sitting just beneath the gate. A pair of glowing cat eyes watches you intently, and its tail twitches in anticipation. Will you follow it through?β¦β¦β¦
The path of the cat often reveals itself to those who have previously died and been reborn as a satyr, or to those seeking some sort of renewal. The same path is also typically sought out by more curious minds, or those with some sort of underlying mystery in their lives that they wish to resolve. It is often said that those hailing from cities or of nomadic natures feel at home under the guide of the Cat, but as with all the Guides, there is always a chance to be surprised!
π¦ CLICK HERE FOR STAG π¦
STAG"Wise, Gentle, Prideful, Decisive.β
Deep within an ancient woods lies an ever changing passage said to lead to one of the many Guiding Spirits that you seek. The longer you walk, the more you realise that despite what youβve heard and known, this forest was unlike any other you had ever traversed during your journeys through the Celestial Seas. Above you, beautiful and delicate flowers sway softly from a breeze that doesnβt flow. Twisted and gnarled trees tower above you, veins of light pulsing through their bark as if to show the age and power that emanates from this place. It flows down through their roots, shining brightly under the dirt of the forest floor and dancing between the branches all around.Β
You reach out with a hand, gently brushing the bark of one of the trees as you walk, and your eyes widen with amazement as the very place you touched starts to glow. The dots of light slowly pulled apart, forming constellations that peel off the trees and float into the air before disappearing back into the sea of darkness. The passage of time feels slow, and the night seems to last a lifetime.
And yet, you still feel a calm upon you.
Have you walked this way before? You could no longer tell. Still, your legs moved forward, a tugging in your heart telling you that something was waiting for you at the end of all this. An end that did not seem to appear, as if testing your faith and conviction. There was no room to waiver, here. Not in a power so deeply tied to an ancient magic, a magic that you yourself, despite having never experienced, felt a kinship with. You continued to walk for hours, and only once realised that, maybe, walking wasnβt the answer, you let loose a long sigh and folded your legs as you sat upon the soft, grassy earth. Your hands fold neatly in your lap, eyes closing, mind focusing on the faint chattering of the forest. And just like that, a sort of distinct chorus begins to gently waft through the air. There was no one around to be making such a noise, but you knew for certain that you heard it. It was almost as if the trees themselves were harmonising, creating a beautiful and mysterious unsung song that felt strangely familiar and comforting.
When your eyes opened, you found a large silhouette standing before you. Large branch-like horns carved through the forest around you, and it looked to you with eyes glowing with the same power you felt running through the forest itself. Its eyes meet yours, and you know that in that moment you were never meant to find the heart of the forest - it was meant to find you. What do you do?β¦β¦β¦
Those who choose to seek out the Stag Spirit often find themselves lost, or in similarly repeating patterns of day to day activities. They wish to break away and find something more, to dig deep and find a way to make change. They may indulge in unhealthy or impulsive habits asΒ they hope for a sign to appear, but the Spirit of the Stag seems to come to those who have truly accepted that they are ready for change of any kind - not just change that they think they would like to see. Life is unpredictable and ever changing, and sometimes all that is needed to see the truth is to stand still - even for just a moment.Β
π¦ CLICK HERE FOR HAWK π¦
HAWK"Insightful, Daring, Fierce, Graceful.β
You find yourself in a place far above the cover of the clouds, where the warmth of the sun is a constant comfort and pillars of dense brume stretch high into the sky.Β So far you have ventured to find this place, to touch upon the sky as one without wings, and you find yourself unable to resist smiling wide and taking in a deep breath of the crisp, brisk air. It pulls deep into your lungs, refreshing you in a way that makes you feel as though up until this point you had been weighed down by invisible shackles your entire life. Only now have you been able to shake them off, every worry, anxiety, or fear falling away and giving rise to something new - something exciting.
As you continue forward, you note that the clouds underfoot are as solid as the earth miles and miles below you. Still, you can brush your hooves through them with incredible ease, and they swirl and part almost as if there is no density to them at all. With a childlike wonder you kick them upwards as you walk, watching as tiny wisps float up and billow about you with each soundless step. Before you stretches an endless sea of foamy white, and even though you donβt quite know what the destination you are aiming to reach looks like, you canβt help but feel that this is it. This is ultimate freedom. Unrestrained wanderlust given form with no end in any direction and only the warm sun and clear blue sky to keep you grounded amongst the clouds. The only sounds you can hear are the distant call of songbirds and the gentle rustle of the breeze in your fur, but you know that, in this moment, you are home.β¦β¦β¦
Satyrs who follow the path of the Hawk are those who seek freedom from emotional weights and struggles. They desire to come to terms with any mental turmoil they may carry, be it from past lives, present issues with no clear resolution, or responsibilities and burdens they feel they have come to bear. Inner peace is something that can be obtained in many ways, but some satyr find it is easier discovered with the help of guiding wings to keep their heads held high.
π CLICK HERE FOR SERPENT π
SERPENT"Witty, Calculated, Creative, Powerful.β
Despite the overwhelming sense of unknown, you walk forward, plunging into the deep. Waves that were once crashing now swirl around you, and then slowly swirl overhead as you find yourself sinking deeper and deeper into the water. Weight ceased to exist despite your downward descent, and soon you could hear or see nothing in the waters except for a murky, unclear visage of blue. For a moment you thought to panic at the vast emptiness, at the realisation that you had not taken a breath for some time, but just as quickly as those sensations came over you they seemed to wash away as you also noticed something else - you did not need to breathe.
Something about the silence was awakening feelings within you, feelings of solace and comfort. Feelings of being secure and held as the tides that once felt cold against your fur grew warm and familiar. You had already known this, but something about the situation made it even more stark - there was nothing to fear about the unknown, only more to discover. You blinked your eyes open yet again, mouth opening as bubbles escaped and floated back towards what direction you could only assume was the surface. In your growing bravery, you turnedΒ your gaze downwards, small glows breaking through the haze of dark to unveil what the waters had hidden from the surface above - the Serpentβs Chasm.
Glistening waters swirled with what appeared to be all the stars in the galaxy, shimmering and pulsing through the glowing spans of reef along the oceanβs floors. It teams with life, with vibrant, gleaming fish and other strange yet beautiful creatures darting past your fingertips as you attempt to touch them. You notice large shadows looming in the distance, at leastΒ three times your size, all gazing at you silently as you swim past them. While they once might have evoked a feeling of fear, instead you felt as if they looked towards you with eyes brimming with knowledge and a hunger in the form of curiosity at your approach. It is a wondrous place, with unexplored caverns, mystic waters, and an abundance of life unlike any placeΒ you have ever known. An aura of power pulls you further in, and you find yourself deciding that perhaps, for once, you would stay here a while. Stay and uncover all the secrets the pools seem to hold, for as long as breath remains in your lungs.
And, just like that, the reef gives way to a place that hums and glows with a magic of life, almost as if it has been awaiting your arrival for quite some time.
β¦β¦β¦
Satyrs who seek out the path of the Serpent may be ones who are seeking to move on and heal from events in their past that may have caused much apprehension or distrust. They are oftentimes known to be reclusive and nervous of the unknown, but hoping and praying to open their heart once more to feed their innate curiosity of the world. Much like a snake sheds its skin into a new form, these satyrs hope for catharsis and transformation upon their return.Β
This prompt has 3 parts! Each is considered its own prompt and will grant its own rewards. You must do each prompt in order and submit them separately to this post. You cannot do multiple as one piece.

Part 1 Prompt
Depict your satyr travelling through the place of power for their chosen alignment.
Consider why they chose this alignment, and how their journey to the location has affected them.

β¦ Did your character resolve to seek out their spirit themselves or is it a rite of passage for them within their society? How did they feel when they decided to undertake the journey?
β¦ Did your character intentionally choose their alignment? Or was it left to fate to decide the spirit that they encountered? Maybe someone chose for them? Were they confident in their choice? Or perhaps they changed their decision upon undertaking their adventure?
β¦ Was their journey difficult? Did anything happen along the way?
β¦ How did they find their spiritβs Grove? Were they told? Was it a gut-feeling?

Part 2 Prompt
Depict your painted satyr speaking to the spirit of their chosen alignment. How would the meeting go? What does the satyr say, how do they feel, what would the spirit think of them?
β¦β¦β¦
It's possible some may have to confront parts of themself before being granted approval by the spirit.β¦ Regardless of their fated path, each satyr's journey to the heart of their grove is, without a doubt, one of Incredibly immense and notable importance, and communing with the spirit that resides there even more so. They hold not only the key to reconnecting with one's sense of inner self, but incredible power and a wisdom that is matched by very few.
β¦ For a satyr to be bestowed the blessing of such a spirit is not only an incredible honor but a revelatory and permanent gift that they will carry with them from then on.
⦠The Spirits of the Grove each favour their own set of individual and yet equally important values, and to be considered worthy of their blessing, one must first prove themselves in the eyes of whatever eidolon sees fit to witness them. Though the trek to this sanctuary was long and arduous, the ability to meet with such a spirit is a once in a lifetime chance, thanks to your efforts! Perhaps you will find the answers you seek⦠Consider how your satyr might encounter their grove spirit. Did they actively need to search for it within this mysterious and vast domain? Or were they discovered first by the very one that they had journeyed to find? Perhaps they followed an inner calling, or were guided by their surroundings. When they finally came across the spirit, how did they react?
β¦ What sorts of things do they feel while communing with this mysterious entity? Are they intimidated, comforted, or even confused by what they've been met with? How do they attempt to gain the spiritβs approval? Is there some sort of special task they must accomplish, or perhaps a deeper part of themselves they must confront before being bestowed with the blessing of the grove? What kind of answers is your satyr hoping to find? Perhaps this moment of introspection with their spirit will assist them in their soul-searching.
