Draw or write about your character’s fishing attempt.

Consider who they might go with, how far out do they go, are they freely swimming or do they have a boat? Makeshift raft? What gear do they use? A rod, a net, their own bare hands, magic, elaborate traps, something else? What do they catch? Is it something beyond their wildest dreams, or perhaps something a bit less exciting than they bargained for?

You arrive at the water’s edge, a gust of wind rushing past your face and the feeling of excitement expanding in your lungs. All around are others who have gathered for a chance to fish in the deep and unknown waters, and you are no different as you set up your spot for the long haul.

There are endless rumors about what can be reeled in from the water’s swirling colors and illuminating lights, from ancient artifacts to crystalized magic shards scattered beneath the surface. Even more speak of a grand creature dwelling in caverns and reefs, waiting to be pulled up and sold for a large sum of money or cooked into a rare, once in a lifetime cuisine. One lively tourist seems very insistent on an item able to touch a being’s soul and gift them with powers beyond their imagination - but that’s just a guess, of course. No one truly knows what’s actually down there.

You find yourself mentally preparing for the looming battle of patience, fishing rod in hand as you reach beside you into a bag filled with various assets you would need to effectively fish. There will be no fishing without bait - you did pack it, didn’t you?

Can be from different character's perspectives, and can be fairly loose in how you want to interpret "fishing". Your submission doesn't have to match the bait you use. Have fun!

 

You can catch different things with each bait type! But there's also a chance of fishing up nothing extra... If you want to guarantee a catch you'll have to get your hands on a Spellcaster Rod™. Attach this item in the "REQUIREMENTS || ADDONS" section when submitting to use it!
